Its possible that animals evolved (not necessarily through the darwinian model, theres many evolutionary models, some which were also written by Muslim scientists), but humans definitely didnt evolve from anything.
The term evolution is a man made simplistic term at trying to look at origins of creation. The way Allah Almighty creates is far more complex and is in most occasions instant, like a great example would be the staff of Moses Peace be upon him. If you truly believe in Allah Almighty, then you would believe that the staff with a simple strike changed from wood to a living serpent by the will of Allah Almighty. Now if you want to claim that the piece of wood "evolved " to a serpent then that's debatable and that wisdom is with Allah Almighty. The same thing with Adam peace be upon him. If you want to interpret that his transformation from clay to a human is evolution, then we must redefine the meaning of the word "evolution" as Western evolution is a slow change of process that takes billions of years. Essa peace be upon him by the will of Allah Almighty had the capability of creating a bird from clay, so did Ibrahim peace be upon him, so there is enough Islamic evidence that evolution is not defined correctly. I can give you another bigger example to demonstrate that "evolution" according to the quran happens in days rather in billions of years. Here is the verse. ثُمَّ خَلَقْنَا ٱلنُّطْفَةَ عَلَقَةًۭ فَخَلَقْنَا ٱلْعَلَقَةَ مُضْغَةًۭ فَخَلَقْنَا ٱلْمُضْغَةَ عِظَـٰمًۭا فَكَسَوْنَا ٱلْعِظَـٰمَ لَحْمًۭا ثُمَّ أَنشَأْنَـٰهُ خَلْقًا ءَاخَرَ ۚ فَتَبَارَكَ ٱللَّهُ أَحْسَنُ ٱلْخَـٰلِقِينَ Quran 23:14 - Then We made the sperm-drop into a clinging clot, and We made the clot into a lump [of flesh], and We made [from] the lump, bones, and We covered the bones with flesh; then We developed him into ANOTHER creation. So blessed is Allāh, the best of creators. -saheeh international translation Here it says that the sperm drop is "developed into another Creation" which is a human being, this process usually takes days, so here we can prove that the sperm and the human being are two separate creations that "evolved" by the will of Allah Almighty in a few days. This destroys the evolution argument for it needed to evolve for billions of years. Also look at how Islands are formed, there are Islands that have formed around Japan in literally days. It does not take long. Also a Muslim you believe that the human body will be resurrected and reconstructed to exact specifications all the way to your finger tips, this process will be instant as well, Evolutionists don't believe in that obviously. A Muslim should always take what people say outside of Islam and criticize it. Even within Islam, knowledge and wisdom should be criticized and evaluated, to make sure we do not fall into these same traps as we Humans are always forgetful on our true mission. The strategy of redefining words that the Enemies of Islam come up with is the most powerful way of destroying a theory. We should take these words and redefine it according to the Quran.

I am not proving or disproving evolution or the lack of, but this ayah needs research as it both talks about big bang and creation from an Islamic perspective.
That the universe and earth were together and then split, yes that's in the Quran ayah 21:30. We just believe that there was a cause for big bang, that Allah caused it.

There is no proof that this is talking about their proposed idea of a Big Bang and it is very well established in the Qur’an that Allah created the earth and heavens in 6 days. We do not know the unseen and this theory contradicts the Qur’an and Sunnah and understanding of the Salaf. Return to their understanding for they were the best of people.
