I love this song. RM doesn't want to follow what society expects from him to be or do. The last girl represents his inner true voice and helps him getting out of all those normal life sceneries and live his life the way he wants to.
Did you notice RMs outfits changed with each room he went into? Did you notice each room was a different scenario, a party, a family, a girlfriend, as a baby. Did you notice his emotional state changed from sad to happy. Each room he went into shows a different choice/path he could take that will either make him sad or happy. At the end you see the endless possibilities (multiple versions of the same rooms) in life you can take. Think of the movie Groundhog Day where the day kept repeating. Each day Bill Murray played out different choices/scenarios. The choices he made that day didn’t pan out like he thought and he would go to sleep unhappy. When he woke up the next day it would repeat. In the end he woke up and the day stopped repeating because he had finally made the right choices/decisions that made him happy. RM read a book called The Midnight Library that has you thinking “Imagine seeing the life you could have lived if you had a chance to follow through on your regrets.” There is actually a live version of RM singing this song prerelease (unfinished). He performed it during the last day of Suga’s D-Day Concert.
And I would humbly add this little part: I think the girl he wants to come back is Army! And that she walks by his side in this maze called life! That changes him from sad to happy!

Also the different colors and lighting keep changing and I believe when they finally go through the door the three colors on the door are red, green and blue and I know RM has mentioned RGB before. He's also mentioned multiverses and reading The Midnight Library (many similarities to this MV). The girl throughout and at the end is "him", it's his anima/animus which he manifests to guide him. It was lost and now that he has found it again or it has come back to him he is able to find peace and live his own life without regret. Right Place, Wrong Person. The MV is so deep and so good. It shows how there is always depth to BTS' music - both group and individually. RM, most specifically, makes me feel dumb and loved at the same time. LOL. Thanks for the reaction!
Much of their works are influenced by literature. There are theories that this MV may relate to the book "The Midnight Library". This is the plot from the book and it totally makes sense to me. “Between life and death there is a library” she said. “And within that library, the shelves go on forever. Every book provides a chance to try another life you could have lived. To see how things would be if you had made other choices….Would you have done anything different, if you had the chance to undo your regrets?” I am reading this book now and loving the concept. Thanks for reacting.
It's so beautiful. I cry every time. Listen to his lament. He is speaking his truth. It's one of the reasons BTS went on break. They were all burned out. RM just wants "a lovely night."
Love your reaction ❤ RM the most talented rapper, composer, songwriter, producer and human being ,every song he does has a different story and different emotions!!
Very talented! He was actually one of my favorite personalities to come out of the Guide to BTS Members: Bangtail 7 video. Just seems like a really nice guy
It’s a good thing you recognized the quality of the video production 😂 The director is Lee Sung Jin, the Emmy award-award winning writer-director of Beef!
I am a 61 year old army. Namjoon is the one who caught my eye when a recommended video came up on UA-cam. I literally spent my vacation looking up whatever I could. I actually watched Namjoons solo videos first. I went to the BTS videos and watched them from oldest to newest. I then went to the albums. The one thing I learned was to expect the unexpected from them. And seriously listen to Namjoons Mono album.
This is like a short cinematic film beautifully shot. I saw a comment about RM saying "A philosopher who raps" and I can't think of a better description for him. I had to watch this twice before it hit me that he was singing not rapping 😂 I was too focused on the mv and trying to understand the meaning behind it. I love this song though it really get better with every listen, it's mellow with a deep beautiful meaning as one would expect from Namjoon💜
RM has said this album is in the alternative genre. Billboard did an interview with the director, and they gave an explanation as to what's about. Well worth the read.
All the rappers also sing in their solo work. Surprise! BTS also follows no rules and has always done just exactly as they please. Their legions of global fans follow them mostly for the music, the talent, the artistry, the diversity. Their amazing personalities, depth of honesty, charm and charisma help too. But it's the MUSIC that has them topping global charts all over the world.
RM has been a longtime fan of Pharrell. He's also written quite a few songs that he gave to other members because he knew they could pull off the vibe of that neo-soul/R&B. Most notably, Singularity which V performed.
Some things I noticed and my take on the mv: He looks indifferent, confused and searching in the first half of the Mv as he wanders though the different sets. All the rooms or scenarios showcase diffent pressures/expectation one might encounter in their live: peer pressure (party, smoking, alcohol), societal expectations (marriage, kids), parental approval or lack thereof etc. He meets another wandering person (woman in blue-purple-ish dress), maybe part of himself, Jungian theory: his Anima?, or guide?, the conversation or the knowledgement (not beeing the only person not fitting in), results in him beeing able to enjoying all the scenarios that follow. As he acknowledged these pressures, he is able to finally open the door and exit. The camera panning out shows us, the viewer, the sheer endless sets = scenarios = pressures/expectations This knowledge/awareness sets us free. Namjoons (aka RM) comment from the 2022 FESTA also came to my mind, where he talked about parallel realities and the uncertainty of choices (there are no maybes and ifs), and how so often they had to go with the least bad option. Or as Suga put it in an interview or his lyrics: Live is a repetition of choices and regrets. Also interesting to notice: The lyrics "spring has always been there" as you see the Door for the first time. BTS mentions "spring" in a lot of their lyrics, it stands for "better days" to put it simple. So the answer/escape (door) has always been there, the key to open it is acknowledging your oddness/not fitting in "you don't have to be the everying you see" => love yourself for the door to open for your spring 💜 Damn... phoet Namjoon walking through, I love his thought process and ephathy.
As usual, RM likes to let the listener interpret the song personally. I would suggest you go watch Bookish Theories' interpretation for this song and MV. Of course, like usual, this is just what she interprets it as. However, I do agree with her theories because I felt a throw-back to Map of the Soul and Love Yourself. So, I encourage you to watch Bookish Theories' video.
Maybe... RM "wondering in the maze of life, in different dimensions", which door we walk through and what remains behind closed doors?... This is real song what we can really listen, a movie to watch and thoughts to talk about after💜 Production team with cast are top notch...
Love this. Like BTS led the way to show a group of artists, industry outsiders can do the impossible and make it big not obeying the rules. RM proves you dont have to sell out. You can be the artist you want. MY THEORY in RMs work every mix tape and album is different from the last. His first self titled mix tape the track DO YOU( the song that says clearly he refuses to be labelled or boxed into any genre). He is continuously pushing boundaries. In a way thats what is also happening in the mv. RM wanders around depressed confused and unhappy through all these potential different lives and expectations never being comfortable. We see this has been so since he was small. At some point he becomes more comfortable in each scenario after being united with his other half/ self, and he can be more comfortable with others. But he still doesnt stay, he moves on finds himself and accompanies the woman( his other half Jung or Plato?) out of the maze of societies expectations to find non of it's real. In the light he sees its all fake sets designed and created by someone else. However with RM there is always light at the end. Hope of better futures now he can see what life is about, he is free of those boxes. There are several clues for ARMY buried within the MV. Pain Devine. During a conversation piece with Pharrell Williams they discussed judging lyrics by how painful they are to produce ...pain divine, devine inspiration?
3 things I wanted to say: 1. I was impressed by the amount of other famous talent (actors, directors, editors, musicians, etc) that RM was able to gather for this project. An article said that he called them personally and asked if they would like to participate. 2. There are about 100 different theories of that the music video is about but one article said that it was an exploration of the past, present and future. BTS have always said that their art was open to interpretation by the person consuming the art. So, it can mean whatever it means to you. 3. THANK YOU SO MUCH for checking this out! Looking forward to the album dropping on the 24th!
Thank you SO much for this info. We rely almost exclusively on you, the fans, to help us along the way, and this is AMAZING. Again, thank you thank you thank you. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
I would suggest watching Bookish Theory she also gives a different perspective. This is why im in aww of RM. You can take his music in so many ways. 💜💜💜🤟🇺🇸💜💜💜💜
This video was directed by Korean-American director Lee Sung Jin, who also directed Netflix's 'Beef,' starring Steven Yeun and Ali Wong. (The Hollywood Reporter did a fun interview with him about "Come back to me.") The production designer works with Park Chan Wook and Bong Joon Ho. There's some pretty impressive acting talent as well. A video from the leader of BTS clearly merits a serious production. 🙂
Actually it's about him being confused, depressed (doesn't want to know about the hour- he doesn't feel like washing his face and he forgot to shower / he doesn't want to do anything and RM has a history of being depressed) about life and the societal expectations put upon him (smoking, drinking, being a husband, a father, a partner, an outgoing child). He always felt as an outsider, not fitting in (he's feeling confused, unhappy in every scenario - his album is called 'Right place, wrong person'). In the third woman he recognizes himself. She's the female version of him, his alter ego. She's also confused, just as him. When he talks to her he realizes he's not alone with his feelings, that a lot of people are struggling with life. Now he can accept himself (you dont have to be, you don't have to be the anything you see / trying not to be, trying not to be that something in the see = you don't have to try to fit in, be something you're not / you don't have to be just as anyone else), be his true self and be content in the moment (you see he's happy in every scenario now - he says he found his Spring again). When he says 'Come back to me' he's talking to himself (to come back to his senses - mentally). Now he has the courage (represented by him taking a deep breath) to open the door and face life/walk through life with its endless possibilities and consequences it has, being content in the moment, now that he doesn't have to place himself into a box (represented by the maze of rooms/boxes). The overall theme is self-acceptance and his journey of self-discovery (what he wants in life on a professional and a personal level).
Bts based drama BEGIN YOUTH also released & it's based on Bts album hyyh its really an amazing drama with 12 episodes and all ep. are released. The 7 actors in this drama are so amazing and acted soo real like bts members, but its only fictional nothing to do with members life Please watch this drama as well its a must watch. This drama make me so nostalgic. Missing bts a lot. 💜 Borahae
CBTM is open for interpretation. Many ARMYs have theorized themes taken from The Midnight Library, a book Namjoon read in In the Soop Season 2. For me, CBTM is Namjoon telling us that he has come full circle. His songs often speak of his struggle with identity and self love, such as Intro:Persona (Map of the Soul, 2019) and Wildflower (Indigo, 2022). In Intro:Persona, Joon has a re-current question: Who the hell am I? As the EP Map of the Soul is framed using Jungian Psycholgy, the personas Joon grapples with are the ones set by society; the family; the entertainment industry. One cannot easily escape or free oneself from these personas. But, if one is able to know oneself then, the personas can be simply that. Personas. In CBTM, Joon was able to come to terms with his personas having found his soul - the anima; a female archytype that is the symbol of the “one true self”. That is why, there is a woman who was looking for him. This is still Jungian and the book, Map of the Soul by Murray Stein was read by Joon. He has a “live” talking about this and the group’s creative process for their EP, Map of the Soul. As ARMY, I’m glad Joon is able to share with us this song of being at peace with his many roles and personas because he knows who he is. 💜 In a way, Joon is inviting us to find our anima/animus. To come back to “me” and be. This is BTS. They fight their own battles and they will inspire you to fight yours too in creative and proactive ways.
Hi Guys. I am really enjoying your reactions. I am probably a bit older than most of your viewers. I’ll be 77 next week. Might give me a different way of looking at his work. This really was a a lovely song by RM. He is so introspective and this song seems just like that, RM musing on his life and his various reactions. Keep doin this, I look forward to each new reaction you put out there. 😎
Happy early birthday wishes!!!! Yeah this was definitely a left turn from where we thought this song might go. Very impressed. And we love hearing about all the fans, especially the the young 77 year old members :)
I loved this "new pop" created by RM💜 The MV made me think of a man coexisting in different realities and finally opting for the one that makes him " come back to himself" . The last take took me back to the TRUMAN SHOW: a life observed by public eyes, where our feelings don' t remains hidden. Very very interesting... Thank you, guys!! Love your reactions!❤ kisses from BRAZIL🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷
Kisses from USA!!! Thank you for comment. We think you're right on the meaning behind this video. And it does feel like Truman Show in a way. Good eye!
Because the album is called Right Person Wrong Place, it makes me think of possibilities and might have beens. You have to step out of that mindset to get where you need to be. Ty!
There are five different women playing different roles. It’s about feeling out of place. I think he’s imagining himself in various scenarios and feeling uncomfortable in the various roles - hanging out with friends, starting a family, navigating a romantic conflict, transitioning into an adult relationship with his parents, etc. The final woman is his anima (Jungian theory). When he resolves that relationship with himself, he can now re-imagine all these other situations and feel like he could belong in them. Anyway that’s my theory.
Happy birthday to youu.🎉🎉😊❤ Thank you for reacting to this MV, analyzing it, tho i do wish there are more depth in it according to your knowledge as Hollywood producers.. we army analyze even symbols used in the MV, the history behind it, the correlation with the lore, and even science and psycholohy behind it. BTS hides the message layer by layer in each of their MVs. They are not just perform, but relay deeper message. They always more than meets the eye. I hope there will be more observation into it and longer disscussion or your deep insight about them 🥰🥰👍👍. Have a great day. Cant wait to see what is your next reaction to BTS ❤❤❤
Yeah we know our knowledge of the guys pales in comparison to those who have been fans a lot longer than we have. We do rely on you guys to tell us the deeper meanings, but it's still fun as an 'outsider' to guess or let you all know how it came across to us. That being said, we're absolutely willing to dive more into the production side of things. 👍🏻
I'm copy pasting an explaintion I saw under another post. - My theory is that these are all different events that occurred to him in various timelines of his life: he was a child to his parents, a friend in a group out partying, a boyfriend in a turbulent relationship, and then a husband with a beautiful family. Throughout, he felt like he never fit perfectly into any of these roles. In his journey of self-discovery, he encounters another human, Kim Minha, who is as lost as he is in the maze of societal roles and expectations. However, after they have a conversation on the couch, he realizes that it's not just him; this is the reality for most people, and life is never going to feel perfect. Cut to him being transported to these scenarios again, but now he is happy because knowing he is not alone in the journey makes him appreciate life and its imperfections more. In the end, it feels almost like an enlightenment where he is freed from the shackles of pursuing a perfect life and now understands the true meaning of living. You see him walking through the forbidden door with Kim Minha, both now happy and content.
Surprise. Surprise. No rap from the rapper RM. You didn't know he had this other side to him. Check out his first solo album "Indigo". And even before that his mixed tapes he had a few surprises like this. "Bicycle" being one of my favorite. You missed it on the meaning. Let me give you this. And watch it again. "Come Back to Me". RM is coming back to himself. Now lizten to the lyrics again. I found a great article on the director. He is the director of the TV show "Beef". It explains how he was chosen. How he was able to bring along an excellent cinematographer and art director. Last thought. Going through pain can bring you to your Divine. Thank you for your reaction. I always look forward to them.
Oh, since you’ve watched RM’s and J-Hope’s solo projects, could you react to JK’s “Standing Next to You”? The mv is the director’s take on Baz Luhrmann’s Romeo and Juliet (Di Caprio and Danes). There are behind the scenes for it too. Then there’s Agust D’s “Haegeum”, V’s “Friends”, Jimin’s “Like Crazy” and Jin’s “The Astronaut”.
they're different women in all the scenarios, the one he was fighting with is different to the one with the kid and the one he walks with at the end is also different. It aint about the girls.

As he acknowledged these pressures, he is able to finally open the door and exit. The camera panning out shows us, the viewer, the sheer endless sets = scenarios = pressures/expectations
This knowledge/awareness sets us free.
Also interesting to notice:
The lyrics "spring has always been there" as you see the Door for the first time.
BTS mentions "spring" in a lot of their lyrics, it stands for "better days" to put it simple. So the answer/escape (door) has always been there, the key to open it is acknowledging your oddness/not fitting in "you don't have to be the everying you see" => love yourself for the door to open for your spring
💜 Damn... phoet Namjoon walking through, I love his thought process and ephathy.
Great insights!!!! Love it
When you react to the album just a tip so it won’t be taken down. Only put 2-3 songs on each video!!
I loved this song. It is what makes me love them more. Always changing and making something unique and beautiful. 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜. Can't wait for the album.
Bookish Theories' video. Check! TY👍🏻

Maybe... RM "wondering in the maze of life, in different dimensions", which door we walk through and what remains behind closed doors?... This is real song what we can really listen, a movie to watch and thoughts to talk about after💜
Production team with cast are top notch...
BTS "LET GO" (STAGE MIX), reaction
@@HPReact Most welcome dears! 💜💜💜

We dig it too!
Thanks guys!!! Muchas gracias por esta reacción. I love Nam 💜💜💜💜

Just so you know the director of Beef directed this MV
Very well done!
I think you would really appreciate “Wildflower” by RM. 💜
The 7 actors in this drama are so amazing and acted soo real like bts members, but its only fictional nothing to do with members life
Please watch this drama as well its a must watch.
This drama make me so nostalgic.
Missing bts a lot.

Is that available on UA-cam? Another format?
Like your reaction and I love song.💜🫶🏾🫰🏾
Found your channel and I'm a new viewer now 👍 love and enjoy watching you BTS reaction videos 💜
Love your reactions!❤
kisses from BRAZIL🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷
Kisses from USA!!! Thank you for comment. We think you're right on the meaning behind this video. And it does feel like Truman Show in a way. Good eye!
Ohhh, thank you for responding so kindly❤ I eagerly await for another BTS video! (Hi, cousin Tomasso - who knows? Kkkk)
Because the album is called Right Person Wrong Place, it makes me think of possibilities and might have beens. You have to step out of that mindset to get where you need to be. Ty!
I love your reactions! Looking forward to more reactions 💜 borahae!!
Happy birthday to youu.🎉🎉😊❤
Thank you for reacting to this MV, analyzing it, tho i do wish there are more depth in it according to your knowledge as Hollywood producers.. we army analyze even symbols used in the MV, the history behind it, the correlation with the lore, and even science and psycholohy behind it.
Before you started talking about the sponsor of the video I was looking at the hoodies and your caps thinking they’re so cool haha
I'm copy pasting an explaintion I saw under another post. -
My theory is that these are all different events that occurred to him in various timelines of his life: he was a child to his parents, a friend in a group out partying, a boyfriend in a turbulent relationship, and then a husband with a beautiful family.
We love this interpretation!
BTS 💜💜🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷

Surprise.
Thank you for the info! Yes, we were surprised. Pleasantly so! We love this style for him. We really liked it!
Please reaction Jung Kook "Euphoria" Live Performance
Oh, since you’ve watched RM’s and J-Hope’s solo projects, could you react to JK’s “Standing Next to You”? The mv is the director’s take on Baz Luhrmann’s Romeo and Juliet (Di Caprio and Danes). There are behind the scenes for it too. Then there’s Agust D’s “Haegeum”, V’s “Friends”, Jimin’s “Like Crazy” and Jin’s “The Astronaut”.
E pensar que o Nam começou a planejar essa música desde "In The Soop 2" 😆💜
Well it's complete different that his previous album if that tells you anything.
It tells us nothing, but EVERYTHING at the same time. We love the fact he dabbles in all kinds of musical artistry. Big fans!!
@HPReact that's BTS for you they seem to be able to do everything it's fascinating, I put it done to all there hard work and of course talent. 💜
they're different women in all the scenarios, the one he was fighting with is different to the one with the kid and the one he walks with at the end is also different. It aint about the girls.

It's really not fair (to them) that they're trying to react to BTS videos without knowing their history. It makes their reaction a little hollow.
We know a little bit, but yes... we have a long way to go
