Good review, Thanks. However, if the blade isn't running in alignment with the sliding table it's the four screws supporting the RAIL underneath the table that need to be adjusted (figure 51 in manual) . The grub screw you used (at 20.20) is for setting the blade perpendicular to the table!
Thank you Jeff. Bought this unit at Xmas. I couldn’t have put the saw together without your tutorial. One note- my saw came with a tester on the plug. There is a test light and reset to assure the right voltage. Thank you!
*Great saw, easy to transport **MyBest.Tools** Table has a wave in it but the company who sold it an amazon helped me get a replacement table. Very happy with this saw!*
I can begin to tell you how helpful your video was Jeff, I'm still not at the point where I'm going to be using it yet. I have 3 rooms and a hallway of hardwood to put down. Your instructions and video made this assembly which is still not fully assembled more enjoyable than putting together an IKEA piece of furniture, although the instructions for both must come out of the same place. Especially with the tray. Who else tried putting the tray together like it showed in the instructions? Thanks again!
Great video! My saw is a little newer so there were a few minor differences, but I would have been cussing Dewalt for sure without you 😂 As mentioned already the final tray goes upside down allowing the metal clip to hold everything together. Mine also has a storage compartment on the bottom of the main tray tjat tje stand sits on with a little rubber band clulosure thingy. The smaller metal side tray fits perfect inside it. Last, just a pro tip I saw on another video. Dont fill the main tray with water, just put the pump right into the 5 gallon bucket. This way you get clean water through the pump vs the dirty recycled water. I keep an empty bucket under the drain plug just in case it leaks and ready for when i drain it and the full one with water off on the side so I can monitor the water level so it doesn't go dry.
Yeah in this day and age they should have AQR code on the side of the Box that takes you to a video showing you how to assemble it this is just this is just marketing people not knowing what they're doing not knowing what the customers want and not knowing how to give the customers what they need
HAHAHA! I loved the part where you opened with how bad the instructions were. "This is the 21st century..." Laughing my head off. Thank you thank you for this video! The instructions that came with my saw are exactly what brought me here.
The rear water tray fits inside the base tray except you have to flip it upside down. Then the metal tab that you were asking about can clip the rear tray in place.
Great Video, Thank you for making it. The adjustment that you (20 minute mark) to make the blade parallel to the cutting cart isn’t correct. The screw you adjusted was for the pitch of the blade to the cutting cart. If you need to adjust where the blade will be in the grove the rail assembly needs to be adjusted by loosening the four rail assembly mounting screws and move the rail until the cutting wheel is square, then tighten them. One other item that I would point out to others is that when installing the motor arm onto the frame assembly the instructions state to tighten the two screws closest to the rail first and then install and tighten the other two screws. This did have an impact on the parallel of the blade to the cutting table when I assembled my saw.
You would think they might have something to say about it in the owner's manual! I called DeWalt last year and even their Tile Saw specialists could not tell me what the clip was for.
You beat me to it. Yep. I’ve the D36000 just bought and it’s pretty much the same thing for adjusting and assembling for the most part. Also, another tip, when checking for the 45 angle on the blade, it’s best to do it directly on the blade by lifting the cover, tilting the blade to 45, and then playing a speed square to check accuracy 👍. Best video also. Thank you!
Great video. Nice and thorough. I even like how you went back and added segments for some of the undocumented features. I honestly would never have been able to assemble this beautiful new tool without your video. Strange to think the same people who design such fantastic tools can't write an owners manual if their lives depended on it. Oh well... At least it's offered an opportunity for you to create these videos. Thanks Jeff! Subscribed+
Thank you so much for this instructing video I just couldn’t remember how to set the tray on the right side plus I didn’t know about the adjustments for the blade Great video body 👍👌😀
Helpful video. I figured out the tray storage. You need to put the back tray on upside down there’s an indent for the clip. I also tapped the drain hole for 1 inch pvc fitting that I connect to a drain hose. The pump can go in a bucket of fresh water
If you got the d24,000s, with the stand, there's a better video on UA-cam to watch that starts with assembling the stand and builds it from the bottom up. I couldn't really follow this one because it seems backwards to me. But I did learn some tips on the assembly so thank you for the video.
The best 10inch wet tile saw blade I use for smooth miter cuts is the Lackmond Beast Porcelain diamond blade, fantastic. Also recommend using a 120 grit Diamond pad to smooth out the cut edge to match the factory profile.
Glad to help out Tom, this is the expanded version of the assembly that you saw in the other video where I did the tool review on this wet saw only there we did the assembly as a time lapse but this is the full detailed assembly which is why it was such a long video.
How does the unit lock to the plastic tray? There is a tab that locates at the front, but I don't see anything locking it in at the back, just slightly raised plastic areas to index it, but easy to wiggle. I t is a 36000
And the spray nozzles on the saw should be all the way up in the blade housing. We have 4 of these saws that we use everyday and have for the last 8 years
Nice video. I wish I would have seen this "before" I went crazy putting mine together. The directions are a joke. Especially putting the drip trays on and getting the table to adjust properly for smooth movement is almost impossible.
Glad it was helpful! PS in this modern day age of UA-cam I am so surprised that many manufacturers don't just give you a QR code and say go watch the stupid video that we put up that would also help us bring more traffic in more visibility to our brand, to our tool, and two other people researching. Sometimes these manufacturers just don't think. In this digital age, isn't it easier for them to just take pictures instead of use drawings?
Hello Thank you for this very informative video. I plan to buy this saw, but before I would like to know if the blade cuts the glass cleanly or if it is necessary to buy a specific disk? I do not understand English, your video will be very useful to make the different settings ...
The blade cut cleanly through the glass that I had. all glass could be different and you can't make any guarantee whether a blade will work on all glass or not but if it does. Ot work then you would have to search for a different disc
Hi Jeff, I like your presentation, but I have to point out that your method for cutting wheel alignment is incorrect. What you have adjusted there is the stop for the blade angle. This should be set to 90 degrees with a square from the crosscut table to be perpendicular. Alignment of the cutting wheel is done by loosening the screws holding the left hand rail to the frame and turning the adjuster screw as shown in figures H1 & H2 of the user manual. Hope this helps :-)
Pointing out the issues in the manual is necessary for the viewer. Have you not seen all the comments from other people who did not know what to do because of mistakes and omissions in their manual?

I just bought a D24000, your video was very helpful. Thanks Jeff. And you’re right, the instructions are terrible but the saw is awesome.
Glad it helped You will love this saw Tom!
Loved the video, still trying to figure out how the saw sits in the water tray and adding on the extra pieces that are labeled 1 2 3 and 4
IT fits nicely into that tray. Just use this video as the guide.
You can flip the rear pan, so you can use the metal clip to hold all three pans together for transport.
That's it right there. I got it on my first try. LOL

To store pans turn outfeed pan upside down then clip holds all three pans securely, outfield pan even has a notch for this when it's upside down.

That “Screw” plate on the tray is for holding the last water tray in place when packing up. It’s like a spring loaded retainer…🙏
Thanks for the info!
Do you have to prime the pump?

you have the nwer one. This one the 24000 just sits on the tray. I tis heavy enough that I don't have any problems

That random clip on the main base, secures the second biggest piece. Turn the piece upside down and it clips in.

Flip the large tray over and the clip works great!

I think the clip on the side is to hold the water hose and/or electrical cord in place. That's what I use it for.
It's a roach clip! LOL!
What is the rubber strap on the frame side grate for? Tom
Supposed to be to hold the pump but is more of a pain then it’s worth. We removed ours. The older ones never came with it

The problem for me is that in France there are not many tools for glass ...
The metal clip on the tray is to lock the back water pan in place. You had it in the tray upside down.

Will look into this further
metal clip on tray "put last tray on upside down" clip holds trays together
Can some one please tell me how to replace the water hose? After a fee years they are dirty and need to be replaced.
The large goes up side down and lock with that little metal (turn)
I no you are just making a point but if someone set up a wet saw in my living room , I would probably fire him before the first cut. Lol.
I'm still going to look at reducing that power in the pump to not make it spray out so much.
That metal clip hold the trays together put the last one upsidedown
