      I like for people to be able to see the jigs hit the water and travel down to the fish. Sometimes if the overlay is on that side, it blocks a lot of that

    Brian I'm still trying to learn my livescope. It seems like you're running your gain pretty hot. You have a lot more clutter in the background and the school looks blown out. Is there an advantage to running it that hot? I would also love to see how you break down and identify fish in future video's. I struggle with the difference between crap and catfish. Shad and crappie are pretty easy. I haven't really ran it much on Walleye and white bass lakes yet.

      I want as much information from the transducer as possible, without filtering out different things in the water column. A perfectly clean screen isn’t as important to me.

    • @KansasAnglingExperience
      @KansasAnglingExperience  10 місяців тому +1

      To your point though yes, I could probably drop the color gain down a bit. But often times when I’m editing the video and have to zoom in the Livescope footage, sometimes it looks more blown out than it actually is

    These fish are aggressive. Do you ever take your clients over piles you have fished just to teach them the basics of reading 2d, Di or side imaging. I know I became better at reading traditional sonar after getting the scope

    • @KansasAnglingExperience
      @KansasAnglingExperience  9 місяців тому

      Most times we will roll over them after we're done fishing. I'd rather sneak up on them with LS initially instead of potentially spooking them with the big engine

  • @sliderman6899
    @sliderman6899 10 місяців тому +1

    What is the big deal?? Anyone with forward facing Sonar can do this. I sure hope you are taking Barotruma into consideration. I personal will not fish crappie deeper than 15 to 20 ft. Hope you have some fish left after a couple of years of this kind of fishing pressure. I doubt it!! Hope all you new LiveScopers fish responsibly

      If you don’t like FFS why are you watching this video? Before I got my FFS I hated it. But for me to compete in tournaments I had to buy it. My bass tournaments are catch weigh release. My use in crappie is for my family to eat or catch and release. But to compete now days you better have it or join a club where no one has it.

      I did not say I was against it. What I said was you have to use it responsibly. I am glad to see that your tournaments are catch weight and release. Your club is ahead of the curve. It is not going to be long before all tournaments are that way. I don't know what level of tournaments you fish but I do know from fishing tournaments at all levels from the mid 80s to the early 2000s that 5% of the anglers win 95% of the money. Hope you are one of the 5 %ers. Good luck this year hope you do well. @@jameslovelace8958
