Hey! Saint-P on the line... =) I had a choice between Kali IN8v2 & RCF Aura Pro8 for a Vinyl DJ Set (Technics SL-1200 mk3x2+Vestax pmc46 tunned for more bass and stereo) and stopped on Kali because it has 3 ways and coaxial design. But I want a pair of RCF anyway! Glory for Ukraine! Freedom for Russia! Peace!
I have the Tannoy 802 and I find your comments about the noise to be vastly exaggerated. The speaker has very high input sensitivity and there is absolutely zero need to crank the input level high and hear noise. With the input sensitivity knob at 12 O'Clock you will get all the output volume you can get from the monitors and no increase in noise. Does that mean they are silent? No, they are not. But most monitors in that price range are not totally silent. From 25cm away you can definitely hear both a high-frequency hiss and a low-frequency humm noise but move to 50cm away and you can't hear it anymore unless you are in a completely isolated room with a very low noise floor. In my room which has an ambient noise at around 46db, at 1m from the speaker there is a 0.2db increase in noise level when I turn the monitor on. I have to agree about the annoying noise when turned on and off but that's a really minor issue considering the sound quality and the price. Once the music starts playing, the monitor sings and delivers. Punchy bass, clear mids and highs, great imaging, pleasant sound. I use them for listening to music and they are my favorite speakers so far. And they can also play very loud. Almost to club levels.
Never heard the Ayra Pro8, but I had the RCF Mytho for years and did replace them with the IN-8... They are loud enough for me and Soundwise it was a HUGE improvement. The 3-way design makes all the difference for me. Would never go back to 2-way.
I have the 6" and 8" RCF. Excellent speakers. My Tannoy's sounded like they would blow when I flicked the 'off switch' which is why I went RCF. I use RCF PA speakers. Enough said!
Hi I’m thinking of getting the 6 for a DJ home set up but if the 8s fit might get them Is there a huge difference in sound and bass to you seeing you have both pairs the eighth look massive in the videos are they much bigger too?
agree the 8 inch is the only speaker you can use without a subwoofer (if any) 6 is too small . my mixes suffer a lot due to that , i have to eq the low ends by eyes . get the 8 inch . --------------------- i favorit the genelec 8050b but it's quit expensive 90w bass + 90w high amps RCF Ayra PRO 8 might be an alternative ,, i have the older reveal 6d monitors , the tannoy make boom sound when you cut out the audio interface power only . so i have a switch i use to turn them off befor turning off the pc .and have no pops . about the noise .. i get i very low white noise only if you stand 50 cm from the speakerin dead silence you can hear it . the noise might be coming from my audio input since its bit shitty..
Hi I’m thinking of getting the 6in for home Dj set up do you think the 8in are much better than the 6in? They look real big don’t no if I’ve got room also not going to be pumping it hard do you have to turn the 8s up loud to get the bass?
I own the ayra pro 8s and their lack of cache and name recognition in the US, is the only fault that I have found with them. No one cares how great they are and the really are great.
@FatCat0209 Update, I have since upgraded to much more expensive Hedd Type 07. There is no comparison, but for their price they are Ayras are decent. I never push monitors hard long enough for notable distortion, but IMO they sound a little muffled. I have adams a7Vs that are better for the same price point, but if you want 8 over 7 you can get my Ayra pro 8s for cheaper price.
Thank you for your vid. I'am also "broken" between the two models, considering the AYRA, LP-8 (V2) &/or IN-8 (V2) . I produce electronic, with good bass (psytrance, ambient, and alternative) , and I like to consider all the frequencies levels, so for this my fashination for the 3 way IN-8, of course. But!!! I 'm Italian (LOL, no , not any nationalism here :P ahah ) just saying that I live ery close to the manifacture... same reason that pushed me to buy FBT loud speakers. ( FBT & RCF are good loudspeaker producers equally ) . We might also consider the support of our near constructors and reducing pollution ? is it perhaps more clever to buy near because assistance is way better to be near ?? .... Well I believe so... So this is the biggest reason why I'm tendent to Ayra Pro8 . However, if I ever would buy speakers from america at this price level i would choose the in8 over the Lp8 and the Ayra pro 8 as well , everyday. Hopefully the Ayra Pro8 are good in the mids too cus this is the real thing that keep me thinging to the in 8. Cheers & peace !
a 3 way is the ultimate speaker - or a 2 way + sub woofer of the same brand , but the price gos up in general rcf make powerfull stage speakers - about the monitor thing i aint that sure . . i need to hear them next to the genelec 8050b to tell you for sure ,,

You won't regret it. Once you get them, write back and give us your opinion. They are truly great speakers. @x333Back

does the ayra 8 pro sound clean at high volume volume?
According to my ears yes, I am pretty happy with their sound at a high level. although high level means different thing for different people.
