Hey man, I am wondering if you are local for these trails? I am planning to come down this weekend (Dec 3,4) from Toronto but the weather forecast looks pretty grim. Its a 12hr drive plus accommodations and gas, etc.. I was wondering if you have any insight as to whether Bailey Mountain would be rideable and whether or not it would be worth the cost/time to come down?
notruth1984 yes I am local. normally unless there is lightning bailey will be running. The dirt in the area is very hard packing so rain doesn't make a huge difference if you don't mind a thin layer of mud. I do a trail work there and we've been in a drought for the past month so the trails have been super dusty, so hopefully the rain today will help us have to trails running good for the weekend. it's gonna be cold and slightly rainy this weekend, and at the top of the mountain it's about 10 degrees colder than at the bottom, so be sure to bring layers, a waterproof outer shell, goggles, and some thick gloves to keep your fingers from falling off. As long as you dress for it riding here in the winter isn't too bad. Also you can always give Jennifer (park owner) a call, the parks number is on the website I beleive, if you have any more questions. Hope to see you out there. as to if you should come another time, it's hard to say. Spring and summer are definitely the best if you don't like riding in mud and slippery rocks. in January and February it gets icy and scary in the mornings and stays wet.
this trail is steeper and rougher than the go pro shows lol

Hey man, thanks so much for the reply. It seems like the park will be open, if not a little slick. I will email the park also for their take.
