Mairead Nesbitt is a world class violinist,a superb entertainer. She is totally mesmerizing and hypnotic.She brings a wonderfully special segment to to CW. She is very special.
+Nerd Nation I watched the aforementioned video whilst remaining unbiased and no way in hell would I call that "dancing". She mostly looked pretty, stood in one place, walked, ran, and mildly turned around (not a complete spin). She was only able to get away with that due to the beautiful backgrounds and costumes. If she is to perform on the same stage, I doubt that she would be able to finish half of the movements that Máiréad Nesbitt (the one in this video) usually does on stages that resemble Irish dance. She could jump a slope and stairs WITH high heels and still played everything perfectly. And when I watched her live in concerts twice, she could even roll her head like a rock star whilst playing. Not bashing Lindsey Stirling in any way for I think she is a mesmerizing performer. However, I do not think you should exaggerate her ability too much to the point of it being seemingly far-fetched. She can play ? hell yes. But can she dance like Máiréad Nesbitt ? I doubt that very much.
Theclowcard, clearly, you have not actually played violin. Lindsey’s Music is very intricate and hard to perform. The fact that she can spin around and play “The Arena” is amazing. I have played violin for three years now, and some songs, I can spin very slowly, sometimes I can kick, but most of what I can do, is walk. Lindsey can dance, she just has to add the violin to it, which makes it much harder. She is also self-taught.
