Got a nuke yesterday with the model L and for some reason when I was two kills off a kill from my spring mine didn’t count as a “gun kill”, so I needed two more kills with my gun then got the nuke. My theory is the game didn’t track hand cannon kills since it’s a score streak towards the Nuke.

When you kill with the pistol streak u can see it doesn’t give you the streak medals but it still counts for the streak of kills but it won’t give you the nuke medal or the merciless medal as well
