Not sure if this applies for this project but we are preparing for a tub to shower conversion and I cannot find much information on the plumbing with regard to removing the bath tub water faucet since it is not needed for a shower. Once the plastic insert is removed, can you just put a cap on the copper pipes leading to the faucet, or do the water pipes need to altered, or anything major. Our current tub has the shower outlet up high but just need to remove the bath water outlet.
