I have patched my inflatable boat with this glue and I must say that this is a tricky product to work with: the biggest issue is the glue-curative ratio. As the curative comes in a small glass bottle, it is extremely difficult to use it for a small batch of mixture. There is no nozzle and curative is runny as water. Also there is no way using any instrument to taking needed amount of curative - take too much out and no way to put anything back.
Also I tried using an empty and cleaned joghurt plastic container for mixing the glue. It melted.
Also take a look how much glue is mixed in this video. After inner patching, you should wait 6 hours. Guess what happens with the glue-curative mix? Yes, you will make another batch. This set costs you around 30 euros.
Although I believe the product works well when cured, handling is way too difficult. I’ve seen PVC glues that can be used straight from the container and the glue is activated with heat. That’s more like a product I’d like to use.

Mix the Polymarine adhesive with Curative at the ratio of 25:1 The Curative supplied is in ratio with the adhesive, so half the curative and half the tin will also be 25:1 - find more info here: www.polymarine.com/advice/

do you need to sand it down before applying the glue? it seems you didnt do that in the video

On this PVC inflatable repair demo, no sanding is required on the PVC fabric, just the application of cleaning solvent is required for a very good bond. For repairs to Hypalon inflatable boat fabric and rubber components, sanding the surface is required to give a clean key for the adhesive.

does it works i banana boat:?

Yes, if it is made from PVC fabric. The same process can repair all PVC inflatables. SUP repairs can be made too, but the drop stitch construction can make it a harder process.

Your Critique of this Video is unnecessary. It is clear and explains the process well.
