William took Henry Emily (who was homeless) in, gave him a home. William is 36, Henry is 17. The time period is around 1964 - 1965.
I sort of made a video explaining the beforehand of this scenario

It's a bit old so don't take EVERYTHING as fact to this series (I will most likely make more of this to build on Henry's and William's relationship). William's personality is much different compared to the old video. But overall, it can give a somewhat explanation of what led to this (Again don't take everything as fact, it's a very old video).

I don't know if it's the same in this au but in the books timeline William was jealous of Henry's life, in his eyes Henry had a "perfect" family a "perfect" life, edventully this jealousy turned into resentment which edventully built up to the point where when he saw Charlotte outside he killed her which is how he discovered Remnant and why he became obsessed with immortality
I loved the whole atmosphere. It felt super realistic. Just lovely! However i really couldn't believe when he said 17 but i feel bad tho. Henry is one of my favourite characters and it's great to know more about his backstory.
I just had to make a follow up comment. Imagine being Henry, dad and mom kicked you out and now some guys gives you a home, food, a warm bed, clothes that ain’t moldy.
This ain’t a friendship, this a full blown adoption without the paperwork.
I can see why Henry got this William’s back to the end. Man’s more of a father than his actual dad and the backstabbing that William does would hurt 10 times more now. That’s basically your dad killed your daughter and ruining your dreams. Definitely my favorite versions of Henry and William.
Also a bit less serious, I’ll bet dollars to donuts that Henry called this man dad at least once by accident.
Can I just say, your William is a very refreshing to see, especially in this community.
I feel like people take the advantage with their AU’S and butcher William’s character. Most of the time he’s a psychopath, but it’s because he has to be. Or he’s a carbon copy of Natsu’s.
He’s my Favorite character in FNAF for a reason, he’s manipulative psychopath or a broken father.And he will not stop until his goals are met. And your’s is the perfect example of it.
He’s not taking Henry in because he genuinely cares about him, he’s taking him in because he has power over him now.

Omg hes so much nice here. Like you can actually feel it. Sometimes I wonder how different it would of been if William had turned better or if he never went down the path he did. How his family would have been able to live a normal life. A universe were they're happy or if not there ok, safe and have each other.
Idk but ive always had empathy for characters like him. Pity the family and the road went down.
