I went with a slightly more comedic approach for my commentary on this video. I wasn't quite sure if it came off as funny as I wanted it to, but I'll take your word that I did a good job!
The lead unit doesn't have a motor in it. It is an NPCU, formerly an F40 that now serves as a cab control car. The P42DC on the end broke down, leaving them without a working locomotive.
Most of this video was shot on an old Sony HDR XR-150. HD camcorder I bought in 2010, long outdated and I think long out of production as well. A few clips of the geese were shot more recently on my new Nikon D3300.
It's not an exact science, but the Z trains on the Red Rock Sub usually have lots of JB Hunt containers. The train with the NS unit on it had none, so it was easy to tell that it was a different move.
I like the vantage point in Downtown Norman, it gives you a good view of the mainline like the park gives you a hilly view of the tracks.
It's a good spot, for sure. The only problem is that there's a bunch of poles in the way
Great video. Really like the narration.
Thank you!
Very nice.
Last nights storms were crazy, we were out under a tornado warning in moore
Not to be rude or anything. But anytime it storms moore is in a tornado warning
Good video
The video is nice, but the comment is priceless. And I am Canadian!

Let me assure you. You did. And we will have a serious talk with these Canada Geese up here to make them behave.

Intermodals usually are boring.
Definitely one of the least interesting train types, but still, a train is a train!
Why couldn’t the one engine on Amtrak just do the work if the other broke down. Why did they need a freight engine
