DVO means 'derelict vehicle operations', what that means is that someone abandoned the food cart, and the city of New York, has marked the vehicle to be junked!
Thank a veteran. He been there since 79 80. Crazy what him and his daughter been through. And no ketchup on hotdogs it's sacrilegious. Mustard, kraut and onions. Georgia hots you do chili, spicy mustard and onions. Well at least on East Coast tri state we do
I always remember the Big Dinosaur at the Metropolitan Museum of Art (or was it Science I forget). I did that and the Guggenheim and sometimes The Cloisters. Now and then some Art galleries in Soho. I miss all that. Fortunately I got you guys bringing it right into me. Thanks,
Chris, great video! I believe DVO stands for Derelict Vehicle Order but not certain which would underscore the fact that it's abandoned, too. Too bad the Met was closed, would be cool to show its interior on the channel.
Just happened to catch this video one year later. According to Google Costco produces their own hot dogs they have no supplier. I found that very interesting. It kind of does make sense cuz they now produce and grow their own chickens. And as far as the hot dog cart is concerned that is abandoned since you think it's haunted , clean it up and make a business and call it. Haunted Hot Dogs.🤣
I do not eat hot dogs but the one you showcased I would definitely eat! The hot dog was grilled and the toppings looked fresh and he was generous with the toppings too.
I bought some Nathan’s giant hotdogs from the business Costco last week. Those dogs were incredible! They had a little spice, but not too much, You have to try them. Thanks for the content!👍🏼
I tried it in May! My friends wanted to go to the met and my main thing was to visit this cart to get a dog! It was really good. Too bad i ended wearing a little bit. But i finished my dog and was allowed to bring my water into the met. , i that Kirkland actually makes their own hot dogs.
Hey Chris is the abandoned cart still there ? I did see it in February after you reported it. I should be back same time next year and will do another tour of your top carts !!
Those dogs & that truck are amazing, i've seen other UA-cam vids about them, the owner is an amazing guy - but am i dreaming or is that cart charging $7 for water ? Is that how much it costs in NYC ? Here in UK we think $2 is expensive !
Pity he snuck in some Ketchup Chris, will def be there next week. Hope the abandoned van gets a "new home " An yup in OZ DVO means Domestic Violence Order.
I need to confirm but I think you are absolutely correct. Usually Kirkland rebrands other labels... but I vaguely remember reading about how the $1.50 special makes Costco money because they make the hot dog.
I’m a tourist, and got hook with this hotdog stand hype. I walked 35mins to get to the stand. I tasted alot of chilidogs around the world, I can say. I just tasted the chilidog. Its just internet hype, but not worth the walk.
Costco makes their own hotdogs. Used to be Hebrew National and another kosher manufacturer until Costco brought production of Kirkland hotdogs in-house in 2009.
Whats funny is that i say SUH-BRET.. but what was happening is that a lot of these guys would say HUH? Since most are from other countries they pronounce it SA-BRETT and understand it. Same thing with the GYRO and YEE-RO. 99% of them are not from Greece.
Reliable/steady income, well-established upfront costs and materials cost, and you don’t need to speak English well to understand what someone wants. And honestly, it’s probably the former owners (who are prob immigrants themselves) selling it to other immigrants they know, and then they pass it on to new immigrants that they know when retiring, and the cycle continues.
DVO? Domestic Violence? 19th Precinct I got right. That cart is prime for the taking!! Just don't incriminate yourself in the chat.
DVO = Derelict Vehicle Operations
DVO means 'derelict vehicle operations', what that means is that someone abandoned the food cart, and the city of New York, has marked the vehicle to be junked!

Thank you!!! I love the buildings! Nice video! ❤
What a perfect NYC day, especially in Feb. A gift.
The gods probably coordinated and decided to make it a nice day
Lol the first dog he put ketchup on it lol
Oh no he snuck that ketchup on there! Haha
Probably just going through the motions and not thinking. I’m glad he’s not my airplane pilot
I live in small town in Iowa and wow new york city looks unreal...i am happy to be small town boy in Iowa!
Contrary to popular belief, there’s small town access from New York too if you drive outside the city especially if it’s an hour away
Thank a veteran. He been there since 79 80. Crazy what him and his daughter been through. And no ketchup on hotdogs it's sacrilegious. Mustard, kraut and onions. Georgia hots you do chili, spicy mustard and onions. Well at least on East Coast tri state we do

Kirkland has their own factories that make their hotdogs.
I bought some Nathan’s giant hotdogs from the business Costco last week. Those dogs were incredible! They had a little spice, but not too much, You have to try them. Thanks for the content!👍🏼

1:51 for a second I thought a bystander was recording you! 😂
What a beautiful day. I live in western Idaho on the border of Washington. It's pretty grey during the winter here.
The NYC area can have bright sunny 50 degree days in the winter. However there will be other days when it’s definitely freezing
Those dogs & that truck are amazing, i've seen other UA-cam vids about them, the owner is an amazing guy - but am i dreaming or is that cart charging $7 for water ? Is that how much it costs in NYC ? Here in UK we think $2 is expensive !

Depends. Heinz or Deli Mustard
Of course he put ketchup on the hotdog even though you said mustard lol
I don’t understand why they add ketchup when you clearly said mustard
The guy didn't care to listen
Cuz ketchup rules
A lot of people don’t pay attention to details. I’m glad he doesn’t operate a helicopter
Pity he snuck in some Ketchup Chris, will def be there next week. Hope the abandoned van gets a "new home " An yup in OZ DVO means Domestic Violence Order.

Why do most all of the cart folks not listen? Mustard, sauerkraut, onion. How hard is that to remember? Those always want to put ketchup on it.
Depressing seeing the abandoned cart, that means some one lost their business.

Anyone know why no hotdog vendors on the vegas strip? prolly cuz its too xpensive fees? one dog be like 10$ bux minimum
I'd say No ketchup, but everything else
He doesn't want to give you any kraut.
They put ketchup on cheesesteak. lol
How did you tell it was Costco/Kirkland? And what is Sabrit?
He saw the Kirkland packaging and Sabrett is a brand of premium hot dogs better than Oscar Meyer and Ball Park.
I'm a purist, but try 😅 relish mayo ketchup.
Never put ketchup on a dog, best dog anywhere Chicago polish or dog at Jimmy`s hot dogs.
Costco makes their own hotdogs. Used to be Hebrew National and another kosher manufacturer until Costco brought production of Kirkland hotdogs in-house in 2009.

He has a no brand cart so he can sell any brand hotdogs.
So I've noticed that you are constantly repeating what you want on your hotdog, do they not listen or is it a language barrier issue
I don’t understand why would anyone put ketchup on a hotdog
Philistines
Personal preference. Some people put ketchup on THEIR hot dog because they paid for it with their money.
Why do people put pineapple on a freakin pizza? It’s their choice. Who cares? 👋🏽
People have different tastes
It’s not really a big deal. A much worse thing is when I see non Asians pouring soy sauce on their rice at Chinese restaurants. That is terrible
What new Yorker doesn't know to say sabrett.

She likes big hotdogs lol
Strange how all these Hot Dog carpets are run or owned by immigrants.
