I am here because I'm looking for instructions on how to remove. I installed mine about 10 years ago and it's still fine. But it has never worked to keep cats in. I'm wondering if the design has changed? The bottom is loosely held in the track but not actually attached. So, all they have to do is slip under. Also, the magnet isn't strong enough to withstand a bump or even a strong wind, so they pop open all the time. And of course, when you want them to open you have to use two hands and learn the 'trick'. I still think they're great for many purposes, but if you want to sleep with them allowing air in, they aren't enough.
Bought this screen at Sams, and so far so good. It's a very unique design, and looks good on the door. Only on door a a couple week, so hasn't stood test of time yet, but I like it so far. It's convenient, and you get the breeze that you wouldn't get with a glass door. I'm going to give it a fair shake and see how it goes!
Had mine 6 mos & was ok then; screen kept coming off track top & bottom. No instruction about spring tension. Would be nice to see vid on “spring re-tension” to fix brisa retractable door. ?
technically speaking.. it needs to be attached to the walls however.. I have installed similar products with heavy duty 3m double sided tape.. nice big thick stuff... and you could hang a large dog or cat off it.. no issues.
This is the beginning of the second season for using this door and the screen has pulled out on both the top and bottom. It has had no one pushing on the screen nor animals, can the screen be replaced? If so, does the door have to be taken apart to do it?
I took yarn and made a stick figure picture of our family and our last name on the mesh of the door. This way people wouldn't walk into it and one could look from the yard to see if the kids had closed the screen.
I have cats that love to get out of the house, will this prevent them from sneaking out? They usually don't claw or try to damage our screen doors but will try to push or pull to see if it can open.
@@SusanDoran I am about to remove mine because the cats just slide underneath, and I need to use a hook to make sure they stay closed. But mine are a lot older than yours. Wonder how the design could have changed so much!?
Don't know if ours is exactly this modle. But one could cut it off with a saw if it was too long. One we cut too short and had to install a piece of wook above the frame so no biggy.
Hi, thanks for this video..it's really helpful. I have checked the size of my door fitting and it's 31 n not 32 width. Can this retractable door fit my setting?
I love this door but I think my dog would tear it up pretty immediately! And I don't want to be changing out the screen all the time...or even once! Any suggestions as to how to dog-proof the bottom half?
@@chrissmith5835 a hinged door presents the same problem. The dogs claws do not care if it's retractable or hinged. It will shred it regardless. I'm told to use a grill on the lower part of the door. I'm thinking a grill that has some holes in it. Else I'm blocking half the door and less air will come in. The holes would have to be small enough that claws won't get stuck in them.
Storm doors are for stormy weather this screen won’t work in a storm, storm doors can be removed don’t knock them. They both have there uses. These retractable screens are ugly too.

I had one of these and it lasted about 4-5 years on my back door to yard. It got a lot of use and was easy to install.
James What didn't last at the 4-5 year mark? We are considering this for our home. Thanks!
Are these doors still on the market?
It would be helpful to see how you put it together.
Biff tanen: that’s just about as funny as a screen door on a battleship.
Marty mcfly: screen door on a submarine you dork.

How'd it go?
Still good ??
Any updates?
@@Navi_mx Holding up great! Very satisfied!
It never have problem in the roller later years?

Does this have to be screwed into the walls. Or is it held up by pressure. Want a screen door but can't be installed onto the physical building.
I too would like to know.
technically speaking.. it needs to be attached to the walls however.. I have installed similar products with heavy duty 3m double sided tape.. nice big thick stuff... and you could hang a large dog or cat off it.. no issues.
Best Application is garage to house...outdoor to house is too much wear and tear on a product this light
I was expecting a video on the installation
I very like it but my door is 88" height. can't find the fit size
How do you lock it? I installed it but unable to lock.
Can you install on inside of apartment?
So it actually rolls up . The screen rolls up on the side???
Can this installed from within. Condo assoc will not allow screen doors
I see several Brisa retractable doors, is there a particular manufacturer I should be looking for? Weather Star and Larson to name a couple.
Any product applicable for sliding glass patio doors
It is portable easy fix if move to other place?
Our doorbell is 1” in on the door frame. Will this screen door work with that?
It should.. you don't need much overlap. I've not installed this product but similar ones
Had mine for about 3 years and the screen keeps on ripping
My door swings outward so I would have to install the screen door on the inside of the frame. Is that possible???
Yes
yes
Would it resist my cats trying to push it from the bottom and squeeze out?
Do you have a vidoe showing how to replace the screen in the Brisa retractable door as you show here?
Ive not seen one but message me and I might be about to point you in the right direction.
Can you leave the door open half way? Or is it only leave it open or closed shut
What is the point of that you might as well just leave your front door open with no mesh on it whatsoever😂
Could I use it on my windoor? Want to to go up or down instead of sideway.
Storm door keeps the cold out ya right.
Is the Screen strong enough too prevent pets from tearing screen?
what like a tiger
It is not, but I still love it
Where do you buy this? I am in California
It's nice, but it doesn't have a lock to lick the door.
🧐

What about an outward angled sill plate?
every type of door can be accomodated
Do they have one of these with a dog door
No not possible
looking for one but i can have 82 i need 79 is there one out there
Do you know if the screen is replaceable or do you need to buy the the whole package again?

Another plus……most HOA associations dont allow storm doors. 🤷🏼♂️
Actually somewhat of a con… needs to be fewer HOA-compliant solutions so people get frustrated enough to ban HOA’s. Ugh.

Is it made in USA?
Good idea for my cat always crashing against the storm door 🤣

I have this and 3 cats. They love it -- get fresh breeze and scents but cannot possibly get out. The magnet is too strong.

Does anyone know if the height adjustable? The package said 6'8" height, but the actual height is 6'7" so not sure how that works

Lory Lamkin Train your dog maybe.
Get a hinged screen door.
This is my question too.

There is a pet mesh and a type that is secured top and bottom.. pet proof.
Where is it retracting into lol
It kind of rolls up on one side. Like a roll of... I dunno, wrapping paper or something.
Sams club have it for $169.98 only
Home Depot has it for $161.59 with free in store pickup. :-)
They are on clearance at Home Depot for $49.00 I got one today
Just bought mine at Lowe's yesterday for $5. No lie.
Stole one from ⬆️ this guy for free.
Nice deal, I got one overnight. I woke up the next day and voila someone donated and installed one free!

you can barely see them! how are they ugly? haha.. I never minded storm doors either.
We had to remove the screen in our crank out windows, cats love them, I think my cat would shred this.
Best of others
Will a pet door insert go inside of that like the patio door?
It's selling for $378!!!!!!
Should have shown install not just talk about it.
$133 @ Amazon Home Depot is high as “””””
the $133 product is pretty garbage however.
Audio is terrible

20 minutes 🤣....maybe if you've done 100 of em, have everything laid out perfectly, unboxed and set up everything "off the clock"....come on man!
a pro installed does them in 15-20 so you are right.. its much more a 1 hour job.
