I heard this at a car event in Coventry. It was in the ground floor of a multistorey car park, which had a great echo. When it was being revved up, the sound was deafening! Fabulous! I understand it is the only Jaguar V12 engine with a double overhead camshaft on each bank.
Yes this engine was slightly different than the production V12 and TWR later raced, I was at the Brands hatch 1000km race in I think 1989 when John Neilsons car had a experimental 48 valve V12 fitted, during the race he spun off at Druids! The problem being it was far to top heavy. That was why TWR then raced with the Rover derived V6 turbo engine, and fitted it into the XJ220 (remember the MG Metro rally car it came from that). My beautiful BRG XJS V12 used to rev at 3000rpm at 100 mph, once did 135mph on A43 going to a Silverstone race HAPPY DAYS
What a magnificent piece of art and engineering
Looks very sleek. Almost an airplane wing. Beautiful.
Its a treat to be able to see the engine behind closed glass.

...and rebuilt after Norman Dewis rolled it into a ball!
Neville Swales has built an exact replica of the "pre-crash" XJ13.
Thanks for sharing!
20 million pounds...
Does it have reverse?
None the less, probably THE most Beautiful Machine ever designed by a human.
I would give that for it...
A "Ground Pounder" in British Racing Green ----------------- TITZ!!!
Imagine were jaguar would be today if they had made a road going version of that
Did it not have reverse? I would have rather seen it backed into its spot rather than have all those hands on the paint.
Wow...
Sad to see how ev madness made Jaguar a total failure
