Would have been cool to have a look through the optics

@bucherwurm5344 the video was taken with a GoPro, with the lighting and wide angle lens its difficult to do a video through the optics. It's a telescopic sight with a simple vertical and horizontal line forming a cross hair in the center. The bombardier inputs data like ground speed, drift, and bomb type (the type changes the trail setting) into the knobs, which starts the crosshairs moving (motorized). When the crosshairs are visually stationary on the target the speed is matched with the airplane, and at the correct drop angle (inputted earlier) the Norden automatically triggers the releases on the bomb bay. No need to manually release with the "pickle switch" as often shown in the movies. The small box on the upper left of the Norden is the intravalometer where desired bomb spacing is selected which determines the time between releases. Some of this is shown in my other videos, the Norden in Miss Mitchell is fully functional following a restoration about 10 years ago.
