    The thing is (I say this out of personal experience) you can't rely on anyone to teach you properly. Everything is just an addition to what you know, including colleges and animation schools. That's why just grab whatever you have to animate and do whatever you can, the best you can do it. The more you do something, the better you get at it. Just don't give up, if you're serious about it.

      Blender Guy at the end of the day it’s up to you to learn and really push it but don’t underestimate what a teacher from Pixar can teach you

    I've been practicing on 3-D animation with blender. Its a free 3-D animation software you can get it at blender.org. To become a 3-D animator is my passion and dream. I grow up with toy story and I watch all three of them. I was to poor to pay for any 3-D animation software like renderman. So I found blender and it is awsome. Its pretty easy just takes some to get use to. Oh and theirs plenty tutorials for blender on youtube and ebook's. I Hope this info was helpful.

      Heads up renderman isn't a 3d software it's for rendering and it's free! for commercial and I think you can finally use it for blender!! but the comment is old so you probably know by now lol!

    I think what Allan was saying is that you don't have to wait until you're 18 to start learning how to animate. You just have to wait until you're 18 to join Animation Mentor. But it's never too early to start learning on your own. Victor Navone, animator at Pixar since Monsters Inc, is self-taught.

      They just want people that at least finished high school as they really can't risk lil kids not paying attention, having learning issues or worse, distracting everyone in class. The latter would be really awkward.

      Allan Lukwago That's what I'm doing, except not animating but rendering still images

    • @seberzx
      @seberzx 4 роки тому

      @@Breadloaf-kr4gi I'd kind of advise against that. There's a world of difference between still images and animation. Sure, still images are useful to get more comfortable with the idea of posing nice figures with proper line of action and whatnot. Yet, you should make the jump to animation asap if you don't struggle with posing.
