Omg! Lifesaver for me! My boyfriend bought me a rope chain bracelet as a gift. Months later it snagged on my blouse and broke. Took it to jewelers and broke again. Now, I'm gonna do this technique myself and pray it works! Thanks for sharing

Thank you, very helpful. I've got one of those threaders in my sewing kit. Never thought to use it :-) maybe some others needed verbal instructions but honestly jeez it's pretty obvious watching that you are tying a thread through the two links with a metal threader and connecting them. Its not how to build a patio with no verbal instructions! Thanks for posting :-)

Been looking Everywhere to find a video that shows how to fix a thin chain. Thanks so much. And to the haters, go somewhere else and quit being so rude! I prefer non talking videos over some of the awful music played in a lot of videos. Also, this video does not need explaining. If you don't understand this plain concept, then somethings wrong with you ~ I just never thought of it. Great video and thanks so much!

This could be the greatest repair video ever posted on UA-cam, but it's impossible to tell without some voice-over instructions to accompany the visuals. I really couldn't figure out what was going on, so I can't use anything in this video to help me to fix my broken chain. I can't even tell whether the chain in this video is a cabled chain or a ripple type chain that has no interlocking connections like a cable chain. When you're making a "how to" video, I think it's helpful to assume that your viewers know absolutely nothing about the video's topic. Then you have to make it simple enough so that even the most mindless of your viewers gets the message.

He's holding the sewn bits in his hand and showing only the good chain! The broken bit is near the clasp, opposite that tiny pendant! Slow the video to 0.75 to see it for yourself, he nods the pendant in his left hand, so the repaid part should be in his right hand, next to the closing mechanism. You never get to see that part of the chain, with the repaired part, as it's in his hand! That's why he wears these silly gloves. You can't see very well what he's doing. It's sad people try to make money this dishonest way!!

@@aminacuascut3572 you can buy a very fine wire, it should be not very expensive and the repair will last! Using a thread you will lose your necklace as the thread will disintegrate and the necklace will quietly fall of your neck...🤗

You're holding the repaired bit in your fingers, as it was near the clasp!!!!!! Why do you need to do this!
It was a nice , temporary fix of a chain and you didn't need to cheat!
I watched the end on the slow speed of O.75 and then I could see exactly how you have held the repaired bit in your hand.
    Am I incorrect?
