i personnaly use snapshotting on frost 4th ability, by first freezing enemies to trigger arcane ice storm then casting 4th again to generate more overguard and go over the cap.Same thing with hydroid 3rd ability where its better to first spread corrosion then cast it to gain more armor (although both my examples are not really ideal as we are limited by either duration or overguard)
I personally use Chroma a lot in fissure steel path survival 445% strength from mods including all umbra mods alongside 5 tau forge red shards. With Grimore,Arcanes Parazon, Zenurik (Zenurik for energy regen) it reaches 635% or 1270% when doubled. When paired with a Nidus link. I’ve hit damage cap even on non critical hits with the Xoris. It’s insane.
It's essentially what roar does to abilities with a longer duration than it, those abilities keep the buff roar gave them regardless if roar times out, i thought this was a well known and very commonly used mechanic.
You could make a video about specters and how to build them, whats the best tier 1-2-3-4 specter. Barely seeing anybody to use specters, my friends using them in EDA if gear is not banned. Dante, Wisp specters usually. I just use my railjack crewmember usually.
I don't really do any content that would meaningfully benefit from snapshotting, but wanted to mention that from what I recall two niduses can link to each other repeatedly without a cap (other than variable overflow).
Interesting video, although I noticed that when the void buff expires and you previously snapshot it onto Excalibur’s exalted blade, the buff is removed when the timer runs out. Is this a glitch or intended? 🤔
@@user-di4bd7z4kl All channeled abilities are supposed to snapshot ability strength upon activation, but there are occasional bugs where any update in their strength equations can cause the currently active instance of the ability to update in strength as well. It's not intended to happen (whether the update is positive or negative), It is 100% a bug.
I tried taking a snapshot when I was boosted and all it did was save a picture... my abilities were the same
Glad this was brought to light
7:24 he starts using the best melee in the game
😂
your vids got me back into warframe, best builds ive ever seen. Appreciate you codex 🙏

Thats because glaives and exodia contagion projectiles are bugged to double dip Vex Armor

Thats not quite how roar works as a blanket statement, which I think goes to show similar mechanics are in fact not well known

Dante specters are indeed based
GEAR WHEEL VIDEOOOOO
@@Unified-Codexplz mann a vid like that would be so greattt

No, they can’t do that, a linked target is not able to be linked again
my fav snapshot is on ivara prowl and her channeling arrow, it grants speed and damage
I love both abusing and being abused by this mechanic - as a destiny player without this it takes a lot to remember it's there lol
Razorwing, is just the best example
This works well with mesa too

What do you mean? Exalted blade definitely snapshots
@@Unified-Codex You will have to test it for yourself. You will notice the significant drop in your damage numbers once the buff wears off.

@@zeeman0306 Okay I reported it
My favorite (and i think the easiest) application of this is Titania. It's pretty braindead actually.
