    i don't think Björk "changed" her opinion on feminism. in this interview she's saying that a lot of women feel held back from a lot of things (like being in a band, for example) and she's saying "screw that, go do it." idk how this flew over so many people's heads.

      Exactly! She’s basically saying, “Less talk, more action.” Don’t let it get into your head that you can’t, that you’re a victim. Go for it and fight from there.

    Woman at the beginning:
    Björk thinks the whole image thing is something she isn't a slave of and she's is just herself. She refused to give autographs to people earlier because she thinks people who ask of them are demeaning themselves

    • @throathook
      @throathook 9 років тому +9

      Oh and just something I must have passed over, the comment about her feminism being like Lana Del Rey's... It's not (maybe it was - comments about women just doing it instead of moaning), but also, you don't have to have the exact same feminist values to be a feminist. There are loads of different types of feminism. Some will be interested in breaking down the patriarchy, dismantling gender roles - others may embrace them, and just try to create their own balance. ***** I don't think Björk will ever out and out say 'I'm a feminist!' but her views have definitely changed, but only in that she sees how much of an issue it is now - before, her view was that women should just get on and do what they want to do, which was possible because of all the work women had done to get to that place. Now, she must see how much work there is still left to do.
