As a great admirer of Linda Ronstadt, I cannot think of better casting than Ms. Gomez. The resemblance is uncanny to a young Linda and her speaking voice even has a bit of Ms. Ronstadt's endearing Tucson twang. Not sure anyone can replicate Ms. Ronstadt's incomparable vocal tone and versatility, but if the decision is made to not use Ms. Ronstadt's own tracks, I'm confident Selena will do her justice. I hope the film will stand alone as a well-done biopic, but if nothing else, it will inspire new generations to discover the extraordinary career of Linda Marie Ronstadt.
@@lnl3237 Keeping the originals will always be the best choice. No offense to Selena. Same with Timothée Chalamet doing the Dylan biopic. People joke about Dylan's singing voice, but it is rich and distinctive. Chalamet can sing, but it doesn't resonate the same.
If i was selena i would definitely call Taylor because anyone who puts that much effort into planning intricate easter eggs months/years in advance knows how to follow clues
