every once in a while you come across a video that makes you fall in love with photography all over again. this is one of those. great work man
that really means a lot and comments like this keep my going as a creator. Thank you.
‘On your feet, lose yer seat’ as we say in our family.
Great video Jonny. I’m still in love with my Q3, and continually looking at Q3 43 videos now as well
5:13 is absolutely breathtaking. Stunning work as always fella
@@chrisbrockhurst your feedback means a lot legend, thank you
Hey Jonny, your content has really been a breath of fresh air for me. Every other travel/landscape content creator on this site just does the same woodland & lake district photography etc etc.
Its really nice seeing new perspectives, can't wait to see what places you end up in 2025
@@vault-tecrep8565 that really means a lot! Thank you
Somehow, you’re literally making me question purchasing one of these right now! Just an incredible video that you’ve made about this camera and the beautiful scenes you captured with it
@@jimmypiper1981 thank you! I firmly believe everyone should at least try out a Leica once!
It’s just like a Ferrari once you try it and you go back to your Honda you realize how poor you really are lol hopefully next time I see you, you’ll let me take a couple snaps with it
Amazing video dude! You inspired me to pick up the Q3 earlier this year and I have zero regrets! Totally agree about it being the perfect hiking camera and so much fun to use! Stoked to see what you create next with it! 🤙🏼
@@TheWildBuchPhotography love that dude!!
Dammm, those pictures are so insane man! The Nordernlight hits different with this camera, keep on
@life-of-Anton thank you!
that FX3 timelapse is wilddddd
@@juliuschurafilms unreal moment
Looks like the ultimate photo set up dude! Excited to see what this new camera will be! 👀
@@darylswalker 👀👀
So beautiful, thanks for the inspiration as always haha
Beautiful photos Jonny!
This is awesome. I need a photography camera to pair with my FX3/Blazar combo. Creamy pics 😮💨
These photos are beautiful man, makes me want to get out more but this winter weather is rough haha
I don't know where this year is going to take me.....Perfect.
I also have the issue of regularly losing my seat. Great video. Would love one of these cameras
Man you’re bad influence 😂
I found you because of that Porche and now i also need a Q3
The Q series are incredibly expensive, but the overall photographic package (camera build quality, software/UI, image quality, compactness, etc.) is unmatched by anything else on the market. I own a Q2/Q3 and they are my go-to for photographs despite having a Sony A1+35mm GM f1.4
@@ab185 well said
Similar for me. I own the Q3, but also have an a7IV with several GM lenses. The images from the Q3 have a lot of character, which is a little lacking with Sony. Although the newer lenses from Sony also give more feeling. I notice this when I compare my 50mm 1.4 GM with the older 24mm 1.4GM or 35mm 1.4GM.
Check out the 28-70 f2. I rented one for a week and the images that come out of it are the closest to the Q2/Q3's optics that I've seen from Sony (Johnny Roams talked about this in his 28-70 f2 video). The other closest is the Zeiss 55mm f1.8
Excellent video Jonny. I noticed you had a filter on instead of the hood. How did you find this (minus the hood) for light flare and is this a better combo?
Hi. I would ask the same question. And what kind of filter is it. Thx.
amazing! i enjoyed this video so much! outstanding!
Love it dude
Currently I'm saving up for a Q3. Once I'm finished, Leica should've come up with the Q3 Reporter Edition - definitely gonna grab that. I don't like the red "look i am a pretty expensive camera" dot at the front.
@@audamus6452 there’s a company that does a red dot delete. Analogous I think?
You’re making me miss my Q2!
@@burnthemapadventures this is sign to get it back 😂
Using the A7R5 and Q3 for 1-2yrs already… love both but the Q3 just makes me want to shoot more
Hey man, great video! Love the images and I'm really interested in the Q3, but I've seen quite a few videos where people haven't been that happy with speed performance and AF performance. I've also seen some people suggest that the ergonomics and build quality aren't up to the 'usual Leica level'. I'd be keen to get your thoughts on this - thanks!
@@RickBebbington I think a lot of those are subjective, for me I don’t care about having the fastest auto focus because I’ve wanted to slow down with my photography that being said I have used the Q3 for panning automotive with excellent results. I would somewhat agree with the build quality especially comparing to the Q2 but that’s partly due to the fact that it has a flip out screen and a USB-C port. But I definitely still think it is built very well and the flip out screen is the best build quality of any flip out screen I’ve used. hope that helps
@@JonnyRoams yeah, I get that. A lot of what I shoot is pretty static - if I can cope with AF in the X100V I reckon this should be fine!! Thanks for that anyway, really helpful. Think I just need to get hands on with one 👍🏻
Thumbs up this comment if the opening shot made your palms sweat a little.
Wonderfull, very very nice Video
I’ve thought about a Q3, but am rather worried about getting a fixed lens camera. I started, as many did, with a 50mm lens. Still love it but also love wide sometimes too. Remain on the fence.
ok I might need one
@@codymayer22 just wait for those GFX files
Awesome video, love my Q! What filter are you using?
@@karel3654 polar pro x shortstache every day!
Stunning images. Do you process in lightroom? Could you do a video showing how you do some of your looks?
Let me guess- the brand you’re teasing at the end is Hasselblad. Great video and shots- makes me want to go out with my Q3 immediately!
@@flo12325 no comment haha. Appreciate your kind words!
oohhhh, you are partnering with Analogue for their Analogue aF-1 film camera, aren't you? 🙂Recently heard about it and now I see you shirt 😉Hehe, looking forward for the new content!
I know it's great but I'm planning a trip to Europe with the family. I'd rather do that with Q3 price.
1500 good photos take maybe a month or so of dailying 6500 photos. We live in a digital age, the age of abundance! Take more photos, even if it's not perfect cause some scenes will paint the atmosphere
It’s not my main camera 😊
Hi mate, awesome video, could you please tell me what filter you have on it and what size? i can see it’s not 49 right?
67mm with a step up ring!
I recently picked up the Q3 but have been sort of regretting it. I’m coming from a fuji gfx and the Q3 isn’t working how I anticipated. Do you have any tips on how to get the most out of this camera? settings or anything really? Also, great video btw… really made me want to get back out there and keep trying to achieve this level of photography.
@@rankfers hmm. How were you anticipating it? Medium format is definitely a different ballgame
Does the Q3 performs as good as the Q2 monochrome on low light?
@@Gabinferra I’ve never used the mono chrome, but the general lowlife photography like up to 800 ISO I think they’re pretty close with the normal Q2, but the Q3 have comfortably shot up to 3200 ISO for night street photography
Bro is actually making me wanna betray fuji
Better not sell it again
@@kylemeshna I made an oath this time
My wallet sent a memo saying I shouldn’t watch this
@@thomas.kovacik 😂😂
2:52 this is not correct. The Q3 does have noise reduction baked into RAWs
@@alhOOO2O the Q3 you can turn off long exposure noise reduction. I didn’t go into too much detail in this video because I’ve talked about it before in a previous one, but the Q2 will limit how long you can have your shutter open when you go to high ISO. So my whole point was the Q3 is miles better for night photography
Are most of these pictures edited or using Leica look?
theyre all edited
@ is it from your presets?
@@saintphotography yep!
color is not any close to leica color lol
well observed, I never said my photos were an exact representation of Leica colours, but that I loved the color depth from the base RAW file which made it very easy for me to edit in my own style :)
6500 photos in 1 year, so you didn't use it!
@@DTM366 haha good one!
