During fighting with other bosses, he can transform into the bosses he absorbed before and use their unique abilities. The 72 transformation and 81 devils are coming from the original Chinese Mythology, Journey To The West. I don't think Game Science will implement all of them, because it won't be practical for players to manipulate that many forms and abilities. But, hey, let's wait and see.

The story of Sun Wukong is definitely one of the most important fictional works to ever exist in all of human history, right up there with the Epic of Gilgamesh and Beowulf.
