I used to live in the US and qualified for a state’s medical cannabis program. It was so helpful every day, I microdosed gummies, which are easier as you can cut them into smaller sections. It was great to walk into a dispensary and buy it safely, knowing exactly what I’m getting. Now that I’ve immigrated to another country where it is less available, I can definitively state that it relievers pain, anxiety, improves sleep, and just general body movement and functioning - some days it’s hard for me to walk.

That’s it, isn’t it? I have no idea or control of what I smoke, and it’s illegal for me to purchase it.
Yet there’s this wonderful drug that does so much good. Sure it has risks, but they’re mild, and what drug doesn’t come with risks and side affects?
Sorry to hear you’re struggling more now. Hopefully the world wakes up and we are able to follow all the US states, and other countries and have seen sense.
Sending you lots of love x

Been diagnosed since 2015. Was very happy that my doctor was open with me about the benefits of Cannabis. Only negative is if I go too hard accidentally go to the shadow realm haha. Microdosing is perfect for me and gets me through the days. Happy I stumbled on your channel. Peace.

I know I'm commenting a year later but I was diagnosed exactly a year ago now but timeline wise my doctor thinks I went 3 years untreated having maybe developed it in 2020, I started using CBD and THC around 4 months ago to help with my spine lesions as I had many clusters focused on my Th-9 and Th-10. It helps with it along with my pain med, but like you said it helps amazingly with the brain lesions. I can focus and remember things when high, I was proud? (not the word I'm looking for) of my memory prior to ms. Once the brain fog and memory issues started I felt like I was losing a large part of myself cannabis has helped but memory is still hard I find myself forgetting words quite often and its a struggle it feels like I'm not who I was.. Sorry for the tangent but that's my POV on cannabis and how it has helped me, its good for both the pain and Sativa especially like you said helps with the brain fog.

Here from California I’m so sorry it’s still pretty taboo there. It has changed my life with MS. I think it should be like this everywhere they gave me all kinds of pills and it was horrible !

Thanks for sharing your thoughts on cannabis. There are many who benefit from its use. I encourage you to consider tinctures or edibles. Smoking anything is risky for people with MS, it may increase the risk of disease progression.

Great comment, thank you 🙏🏻 you’re absolutely right. Although, in the book I mention it does say that smoking pure cannabis without tobacco is considerably less harmful. Although I’d like to see more studies.
I like edibles too, just end up having too much 😂

For me. CBD Isolate = minimal improvements ie, bladder, sleep, anxiety. CBD/THC = Disaster. Massive paranoia which impacted my mobility. I have a history of anxiety / dpression. The THC component made me unable to shower as I was to scared to even move. Usually works for those who were regular users prior to MS. If it works for you, ........GREAT! Keep using it. For me it wasnt worth the $$$.

Medical cannabis has been avalable in the uk since 2018. I pay £10 for a private prescription from a doctor and then £8 a gram for a strain that’s 29% thc much stronger than you will get on the street. I don’t know why people don’t know about this still.

Hi Liam, I have been a cannabis fan since I was 17 (I am 50 now) and I prefer it over any rec activity. For MS, since I was diagnosed in late May it is nice in edible form as well as in vape form, but since my balance is shit, ( I am forced to very light movement cause that would not be great to walk around)I was a smoker until my asthma and COPD forced me to stop. It helps with relaxation from anxiety and overall life for me, and I am a supporter of you exploring its benefits. When it comes to pain, cannabis makes me hyper aware of any pain or spasms, but I deal with that anyway (damn MS), so I do it anyway!! Good luck .

I have friends that smoked it recreationally but I was never a fan of feeling high. I was diagnosed in 2022 and experienced horrible insomnia. I tried a 5 mg gummy and I slept like a baby so I got a medical license in my state and it continues to work for me. I still don’t like the high but I sleep through it and wake up refreshed. If I wake up and can’t sleep, I keep a vape pen next to my bed and take a small pull from that and am able to fall back asleep.

Hello Liam thank you for this video.I have MS along with Long COVID and other health issues.I was diagnosed in 2015 with MS. I was on medical marijuana back then but stopped because it gets expensive. It did help a bunch though and looking to start some form again like CBD or CBDA for the MS pain and headaches.
I am wondering what is the name of the book you mentioned and the author?
    Blessings!

Just like you I worry that my 14 year old son may perceive me differently if I were to smoke to alleviate some of my discomforts of my MS. I tried Edibles, but I got them from a smoke shop in NYC. I don't think this is the real stuff because It gets me weak in the legs. I will like to smoke the flower somewhere in the "Sativa" family so i am not going to sleep too soon.

    • @livingwithms
      @livingwithms  Рік тому

That’s sounds sensible. I’m sure your son will understand, you’re not a typical stoner, looking to get high. You have a serious disease and if cannabis helps, then it helps. Think it’s maybe helpful to sit him down and explain. Let me know how you get on!
