    Some people just cant deal with they emotions and dats whats keeping dem from learning something new. When u learn how to deal with yo emotions dats how you become enlightened. People just wanna be right and not deal with the possibility of being wrong. When it come to dis its really no right or wrong answer

    "I don't believe in racism, I don't pay attention to it". Doubt the existence of racism at your own peril Peter. You don't have to believe in racism, but it will believe in you. I can also tell by how he describes the reasons for marching and protesting that he doesn't understand what the fight is for. What its about. He's not at all informed on race relations. Disappointed in the brother.

    • @NiteCapMedia

      +lifestraight racism exist, but will we use our energy fighting something we can't control, like another man's hatred or use our energy to give life to what we ca control.

    • @lifestraight
      @lifestraight 9 років тому +4

      NiteCap with Peter Bailey Hey Peter. In rereading my post I was a bit too brash. Forgive me.
      The reason we must forever challenge and fight racism is not to win over the hearts of bigoted white or nonwhite people (or even Black people for that matter). But we have to fight racism because it takes many forms that have direct impacts on our lives. Institutionalized racism is basically racism that exists in institutions and industries that have a direct affect on our lives. Basically racism in power. Racism in the banking industry that affects Black peoples ability to get loans for a home or car they may need. Racism in the criminal justice system that punishes Black people harsher for the same crimes as whites. Racism in the educational system that deprives young children of color of a sound, qualitative, culturally relevant educational experience and that perpetuates the school to prison pipeline. Racism in the housing market that won't sell me a home in a particular neighborhood because of race thereby sending back to the ghetto. Or racism in the private sector that impedes my ability to get a job that would provide me the economic relief I need for upwards social mobility. Racism in the police force that can kill us and get away with it.
      So it's bigger than the racist white guy who calls me names, it's about the systems of oppression and the way they operate to perpetuate my disenfranchisement and exonerate the racist when he does wrong.Hopefully that provides some clarity brother and I like your show!

    • @lifestraight

      ***** You totally did NOT read my reply to NiteCap with Peter Bailey. I already explained in detail it isn't about making someone like you or make them respect you on a personal level. Please reread my reply to Peter. Also, I'm not waiting for a white man or any other man to respect me. My survival demands immediate respect. I can't be getting jailed, beat up, shot at, harassed, and crossed until the subject of my oppression decides to wisen up. You don't respect me and intend on oppressing me it's on me to fight.

    Everyone needs to know that there are different strokes for different folks.
    You are in this world the sum of all your life experiences... wisdom, knowledge and education are all different things.

    • @demiurge8665
      @demiurge8665 4 роки тому

      Well... I don’t know about that, that is: experiences, wisdom, knowledge and education all being different things. I guess it depends on your epistemology, but knowledge (other than metaphysical/faith based kinds) is derived from experience and education and not a whole lot of other things. Wisdom too is derived from experience and education, as well as reflection. Sorry for the totally pointless, four-year-late and qualified disagreement concerning the equivalence/≠ of the terms you listed. OCD, can’t help it lol. Sorry 😐

    • @1Mack1Tone
      @1Mack1Tone 4 роки тому

      @@demiurge8665 🔴 Who diagnosed you with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder? What qualities that person as someone who would know? What allows you to be so comfortable enough to believe what you hear from that person, whomever you answer they are? Where did words come from? Whats does it mean, to be a man? What do we know more about: Space or The Ocean? What percentage of your answer do we know in it's entirety? When I say we, to whom am I referring? And lastly, how is it possible that certain people in society can define and diagnose a disorder like OCD, but the people who have said disorder aren't able to learn how to help themselves?
      ⚪ Now, if you proceed to TRY and answer those questions with integrity you will find yourself providing a confirmation to what I stated.
