tbh, this video was quite fun to watch. the video is not a one-sided ego inflated video that only shows him killing, no toxic chats (if so, theres barely), and heck ton of things going on and many funny mishaps.

cimol read your comments section lol | jokes aside, I got a li'l tip for the kyoto combo, idk if it'll help: After dashing, I enable shift lock and turn my camera 90 degrees to the right to face foward (I use the D key) and instead of my camera facing down, it faces straight, like a 2d fighting game. This helps me land it, i dunno about you tho. I run 70-90 ping often times btw. I believe it works because I think the hitbox is lingering, so keeping it next to you can help catch your opponent more often, i guess. You can see it in my videos, but i dunno if it will help. Its hard for me to explain it.
(I mean, thats like the normal way of doing it, but in exchange for style, it works better)
(Alot of side notes, i know, but I think they nerfed the twisted combo tech along with the infinite m1s tech, i dont know if it was intentional or not. i noticed that after all of the sudden, me hitting it is based on luck now, even humbled is having trouble landing it.)

Extra: wow you actually reading this. Nice. Okay, so tips for Garou because I main him too much.
- Counter is your best friend and your worst enemy: Use it only if you know your opponent will make contact you (in other words, dont dash and then use it, thats pathetic.). More about countering is below under spacing.
- Spacing is crucial: wait till they waste their evasive or their dash to attack.
- Always counter when they screw up: A common fallacy for Saitama is that consecutive punches chain to moves like uppercut or normal punch. They don't. There is a very small period free of stun between both moves. If they try to hit you with normal punch or uppercut, the second you see the animation, spam counter.
- Style isn't everything, but it is in everything: A lot of Garou combos are stylish, but they always aren't good. Luckily, if you're the stylish kind of player, there are some combos that are just as stylish as they are powerful. Examples are: TwistedQ Combo and one of my combos I did once (here is the link to the clip: ua-cam.com/users/clipUgkx76Naa2DyloN94zFiv_4LRqA0Fi7lqo2n?si=Rg6AAmxevka6gQLK) I was never able to do that combo again. :(
- Don't waste moves: You might see pros like Humbled or Cimol here using moves at complete random to catch the opponent off-guard. While that might seem like a good idea and free combo starter, it is crazy risky. Remember that they are professionals, they maybe haven't touched grass since they starter. Also remember that your opponent can dash. If they dash at the right time, they'll dodge the move, and bam, the that's a move wasted. It is better to instead use your M1s to stun your opponent, as if they dash or block, your combo won't be a combo. You have three usable moves, the fourth is a defense. Also, always. ALWAYS use your unblockable move; in this case, that's Flowing Water.
- Play passively: Now, I don't mean like you should play like a coward, running and playing cooldowns. I mean keep your distance and don't use your evasive until you see an opportunity. For example, using your evasive when flowing water just launched you or when normal punch just hit you is a waste, as you can easily mess up. Twisted talks about how if your opponent uses their evasive after you finish flowing water, you can lead up with whirlwind without using your dash. Like a non-moving Kyoto Combo. Which takes me to the next tip.
- Read your opponent: Even if your opponent is one heck of a closed book, they all have some sort of a pattern, no matter who they are. For example, they are often impatient and aggressive, or they are unpredictable and hyper. Garou is one of the best all-around characters, because it has good combos, and a good counter. Thanks to that, Garou lets you adapt to fight against any opponent. So, if your opponent is aggressive, use your counter often if they almost always land their attacks. If they use their evasive often, backdash or run a short distance away in case they use their evasive immediately after you use a move. If they play calmly and know how to space, run their patience to the ground and when they're vulnerable, you strike. Remember that ranked 1v1's have two lives, play around with them and experiment in the first life. Once you know your opponent's attack patterns or behavior, think of a way to counter them, and use that to make a comeback. And if you fight them over and over again, even better!
- "Practice makes perfect"- You know that saying? I bet you do, and it is 100% true. Don't expect you to be an absolute god with Garou when you start. Private servers exist for a reason. Get a private server, and practice on the dummy! An easy combo is:
3 M1s -> Lethal Whirlwind -> wait a bit -> Hunter's Grasp -> Front Dash (If you do it too quickly, the dummy will be knocked back. I jump once and then front dash to calculate the time) -> 3 M1's -> Flowing Water.
- Establish a playstyle: Even if you think you don't have a specific playstyle, you do! Your playstyle is formed throughout as you play the game. You could grow a passive playstyle, or an aggressive playstyle. However, having a natural playstyle isn't always the best. Aggressive and Passive playstyles are really common, so a lot of people often have devised ways to counter them. Try shaping your own playstyle, think about it, write it down, and begin to play like it. Eventually, you'll play that playstyle like a natural playstyle. For example, I have been making my own playstyle, however I'm having trouble getting used to it, but I'm getting there.
The playstyle: Name: FoxClaw (I know)
TL;DR (Bottom line): Copy the opponent, don't waste evasive, damage is not important, strike unexpectedly, use the character to its maximum.
Type (One-word summaries of what technically is it): Copycat, Defensive, Adaptive
Catagory (Passive, Aggressive or Passive-Aggressive): Passive Aggressive
Attributes/Behaviors (Unique methods or skills to correctly utilize it)
- As the battle goes on, begin to copy opponent's playstyle, then use it against them.
- If evasive is gone, play passively by spacing a lot, and take the least amount of risks. If evasive is ready, play closer and take more risks, but never use the evasive immediately. So, play more aggressively.
- Quick combos are key, damage is not important
- Attack when your opponent doesn't expect it
- Master randomly catching opponents by using moves randomly
- If your opponent is low, take advantage of their desperation
- Blocking is your best friend
- Counter once you know opponent's attack pattern
- If all moves are on cooldown, remember you have the Twisted tech

- And finally: Always challenge yourself: Getting better doesn't mean racking up kills. Kills don't define skill. It means to fight against players who know the game better than you. Ask them to a friendly 1v1 and note what they do. Study them and incorporate that into your playstyle. Copy what they do against other opponents. Ask for tips from pros and players with more than 5k total kills or 500 recent kills. Ask them about how they play, what they do in situations, and always take up an offer to be taught. If you find yourself a Wolf level Threat, don't be afraid. Approach them and ask them questions on how to play. Once you think you're ready for more advanced combos and techniques, don't use the dummy, practice on other players. I often practice advanced combos on noobs, since they can't often fight back or defend themselves. Basically, noobs are your test dummies. But you can help them too, offer them tips and tricks, because everyone in this game has one goal: To be better.
I hope this guide helps, if anyone even reads this far. But take these tips, put them to work, and maybe you can find a way to incorporate these tips into other characters, like Tatsumaki, Saitama or any character of preference. Good luck!
