Re-deploy was a low skill mechanic. The mechanic removes any sense of responsibility when building, removes any sense of planning required to loot efficiently and not take storm damage and deals out no punishment for having a lack of awareness and game sense. Pros enjoy the mechanic because it allows them to pub stomp. Its a trash mechanic for public lobbies and public lobbies make up 99% of this game. If I am wrong then I am here to listen, explain to me how having a mechanic in the game that removes a majority of the risk and strategy involved in the game is a good mechanic that makes matches more skill based and enjoyable.
I think its pretty simple. Epic has made it perfectly clear that they will continue to make changes to lower the competitive advantage of players who are really good at this game. It's why bloom exists in the first place, so that even if you're a god at aiming, sometimes someone else just has better bloom than you and still has a shot at winning the fight. Lowering competitive edge is why they took redeploy back out and will probably reintroduce it with some handicaps later on. The main problem and why competitive players liked it for the most part was because it rewards good players and gives them additional advantages over bad ones. Theres no penalty for building all the way up to the sky in a build battle when if you get shot down you can glide. If you're a good player you can easily third party anyone just by building up and gliding down on a fight. Pub players who consider themselves good like it, the rest absolutely hated it and at the end of the day those really good players aren't going to leave Fortnite if it's not there while those guys getting constantly killed might. So they took it out.
Hysteria is not totally wrong about the redeploy on 8:07, but is missing a important thing: people showed a "positive feedback" about redeploy based on LTMs, not public normal matches, in normal matches the majority of people didn't liked it and he needs to know that a competitive match like a Scrim or the Skirmishes are T O T A L L Y different things compared to public matches, and there's things that work on the competitive scenario and things that work on Public matches, and Epic needs to listen more to the public matches because is what the game is based and find the perfect balance between these two aspects of the gams
@@travisfishersson1620 also if he doesnt want to hold onto it, drinking it prevents someone else in the game from finding it and healing themselves 75 health/shield and potentially fighting you later.
I wouldn’t mind if redeploy came back but there needs to be a work around where there is still a danger of fall damage (e.g. must initiate a jump before pulling and have to pull within a couple of seconds). This way people can’t be careless in build fights and it’ll balance out the field from low ground giving an option to destroy structures.
Thing about it is if redeploy exists, there is now way he gets that res at 9:25 against any decent team. They fly into third party after a good fight and Nick has to 2v1. With him being a pro I'm sure he would be fine but most people aren't that good.
With gun skill you can melt a player but you may also take a good amount of damage doing so. With positioning you can melt a player without them getting even a single shot on you.
Redeploy was something i hated at first but then decided that over time it was amazing and should have stayed it made it easier to get kills and save yourself on occasion.
Glider redeploy was dope since sometimes circles are that far from where you first landed what’s the point to not go central cities tiled, salty etc. Bring it back!
love nick, but but he literally goes from praising the impact of positioning, to supporting redeploy which (IMO) heavily reduces the impact of positioning and also awareness. High ground is a form of good positioning and should come at a cost, either risk to fall damage or mat usage to reinforce your structure. Positioning is also huge in rotations. You can use smart rotations to put yourself in good positions for engagements and reaching the next circle. With redeploy, anyone can rotate without any thinking required. Just build up and fly. Redeploy gives a huge safety net to bad players and encourages reckless, unskilled building. Players don't need to be aware of height. Third partying never worse. Cons outweigh the Pros, but there definitely were pros (More midgame engagements and less RNG with mobility). Instead of redeploy, add back bouncers/impulse grenades, increase launch pad spawn by 300%, mat cap 700, farming increase 40%, 50 shield for elims and we have the most balanced and fun Fortnite in a long time.
I mean I think positioning, seen as though there is bloom there isn't as much gunskill. You also have building to reposition and furthermore get a better angle to make it easier to hit your shots
I think they were testing redeploy for an increase in map size coming soon.. everything they have done with mobility points to a larger map coming.. shockwaves, vehicles, redeploy, rifts, etc.
I did like glider redeploy but winning in a build fight just for someone to go was a bit annoying, half the time you don’t see were they went so it like there goes all my mats. I do lose build fights sometimes too so it was getting a second to heal.
Just on the redeploy stuff. As a generally public player I would be okay with it if healing was sped up. There are just way to many third party fights with redeploy as it was. If i could pop my heals in time I could fight the fight but if I cant its an easy win for the third party team especially now with the heavy AR and Shotguns having increased damage. Most people would just get one tapped.
Did Nick say that nobody fights early game? I dunno about you but almost every game im in there is usually below 30 players left when the first circle starts moving...
Positioning wins everytime tbh you can beat someone better than you with great positioning. Positioning is a must know skill in any competitive shooter more so than gun play. Because you can be average at shooting but have crazy positioning and movement that your going to put play gun skills. This is almost every shooter that isn’t run and gun. Shooters that actually take skills to play this applies to It I know where nick is coming from halo is all about positioning if anyone is good at halo they were pretty much good around the board.
What hysteria said was perfect. In pubs the third party from redeploy was ridiculous. Every single fight you were getting shot afterwards. In competitive that doesn’t really happen.
I loved glider redeploy but to often people would just get into a build fight and start losing and then just jump off and fly away so I’m split with it
gaining the 50 hp/shield would encourage players to thirst even quicker, i would like to see how it plays out with glider redeploy becuase the only reason i didn't like is was becuase people would constantly clean up after fights.
Redeploy was the goat. Only thing I’d change was that if you shot down a structure they shouldn’t be able to redeploy that way you still get a kill. But as for mobility it was great, especially with the balloons added
Redeploy should be in the game, but only if the player jumps first. If someone's build gets destroyed and they don't bail before dropping to the ground they shouldn't be able to redeploy. If you jump from a mountain: redeploy. If you fall off a mountain: fall.
The most important thing is bloom and internet connection.
Ejx3 and frame rate!!!
without good ping basically you are doomed, yesterday i was in a 1v1 and when i fell and put a ceiling the other guy's bullet went right through it.
Ejx3 not going to lie i have lagged so bad sometimes that i can shoot people and they miss every shot on me
I Hallucinate you think that but if they took it out it would be an instant death laser
I have a hug disadvantage then💔

If he takes damage immediately after that while the slurp juice would still be in effect he will get shield or health back

bloons and no redeploy is ass... but at least can hop/float around while getting lazered i guess
To me gears of war was way more difficult because you had to wallbounce and keep your shot on them or else you were dead. Halo came way easier to me
Redeploy should be in the game, but only if the player jumps first. If someone's build gets destroyed and they don't bail before dropping to the ground they shouldn't be able to redeploy.
If you jump from a mountain: redeploy. If you fall off a mountain: fall.
Personally, i think that positioning is one of the Gun Skills
If they just added redeploy for loons at least that would be great at least
yo big facts homie. like why the hell imma slowly float up then back down. whats the point of bloons if u cant redeploy.
