Thank you so much, I was toying with a similar idea for repairing mine but had a laptop charger spare.
I had a security torx bit fortunately

My charger shows constant GREEN but both my batteries are flat, any ideas? Thanks

Your batteries will have dropped below 2v so the charger will not charge them anymore
