I always enjoy hearing a good origin story, Its really cool that you're sharing the story of how Babylon.js came to be, its all the more impressive a DECADE!!! later, seeing the state of the engine and all the cool things that have been added in the meantime.
This was too good. I was initially skeptical about watching this as I was looking for tutorial stuffs, but I am very glad that I watched it. Pooping on the unity guys(the Ego), the unexpected contact by MS internal team and the humility was my favourite. It is a great success and experience story also really liked the presentation. Thank you guys for doing this.
I am just starting my journey into 3D modelling in the web and by mere coincidence stumble upon Babylonjs. I haven't done anything with it but you got me hooked from the Babylon6 release video and now this podcast. What you guys have to work on is more tutorials and courses like threejs-journey for example. I am really exited to learn more about Babylonjs ❤
I am an experienced developer and was looking to create a game. Started checking out Unity then I accidentally saw BabylonJS. Wow. It's nice! Now I am trying to learn to build a chess like game, with chess board with figures on the board.
Maybe it's just me, but the intro music seemed way too loud. It went through the roof in my volume mixer (approximately 2-3 times the volume of the spoken audio that follows). I had to turn down the volume on my headset, then immediately turn it up again once the actual content began.
Great intro and history of the project. Not sure what to think of the versioning .. wasn't Babylon 5 the last of the space stations 🛰 Hearing rumors of some kind of reboot though - I wonder if Kosh will return and if he will be played by David, assuming Jason will play the ranger 😜.
Yes!!! Instant favorite podcast! Great work on Babylon, guys!! I'm a huge fan.
Wooooot! So excited that you guys are doing this! ❤ I had a feeling something great was coming!
Finally I have been waiting for something like this for so long!!!! :-D Keep them coming!!!!
