I think of my grandfather when I listen to this song. How he lived his childhood in the slums of Shanghai, he witnessed the poverty and division of his country; communists and Nationalists fighting for power. To add to that, the Japanese was in its beginning stages of conquest against China, pillaging his homeland. He had no choice but to escape from China in the early 40s. He snuck onto a Cargo ship at the age of 20, he traveled to America where he tried to start a new life for himself. He self taught himself English, and later Spanish. He opened two Chinese restaurants, juggled multiple other jobs, and tried hid best to make his fortune. He wasnt perfect, he was a poor husband, poor father, and had a gambling and alcohol addiction, but it was later in life that he made up for his sins. He accepted his wrongdoings and madd up with his family, and he did everything in his final years to make sure that his grandchildren would grow up happy and healthy, and that they would have good morals and a good heart. His life involved pain and suffering, coupled with immorality and sacrifice. But his life cumulated with redemption and redeement. This song captures his life, his struggles, his rise and fall, and his redemption. I miss him, i wish i could go back in time. This songs the closest thing to time travel....

I've been listening to this track for over 7 years now and still this is the best orchestral piece of music I know, and also one of very few tracks which made me cry of happiness :') I really dream that one day to hear this beauty live performed by orchestra. That would be out of this world. I'm sure it is possible with the help of Scott Bond who represent Gatecrasher Orchestra in UK, or Petri Alanko aka Lowland, representing Classical Trancelations in Finland!
