As a longtime dragon quest fan, i actually really enjoyed dragon quest heroes II. So as a life long persona fan, im sure ill enjoy this too. These games are what they are: Just mindless fun that targets fans of the series with just enough depth to keep things from getting too redundant or stale. At least it doesn’t appear to be a mediocre cash grab. Ill probably get this one at full price and not regret it.

Doesn't look too good. it's basically light, heavy, and skills. time freeze makes chaos less overwhelming but at the end of the day , moves don't affect positioning and you can only dodge. it's basically elemental Nier automata with pause.
There's more to the combat once you unlock master arts. Also, each characters have quirks. For example, Yusuke has a built in counter and Zenkichi has life drain and atk boosting at the cost of health so in reality there's a whole lot more underneath.
@@StreetTaco Every character has a unique action. Joker fires his gun. Yusuke gets into a counter stance and if he is hit he will ignore damage and counter, Makoto can charge up so her attacks deal nuclear damage, Morgana can turn into a car and so on.
Obsolutely nothing like FF are you on crack? Just because you can jump on top of a few places like the warp? Thata not enough to claim it is similar. This can be conpared to a warriors games. Absolutely nothing like FF15

This looks like the better version & more "complete" especially having be able to switch char on current party on the get go. Not only that, it seems to have better skills, better combos, & more precise tactical commands with with the party. The harder difficulty also change the elemental combat massively. Just because it has a lot of fodders, don't always make it a typical "Warrior" game. I thought it would be like that too & most likely some people too, but this is quite a surprise on how many RPG stuffs being carried over/implemented.
any options wherein you can set which skills your AI companions use? Like, if an enemy is weak against Ice, you can have Yusuke spam Bufu until that enemy is dead?
On PS4 Pro, the game seems to be running at consistent 60fps both in graphics and performance mode, both during exploration and combat... So what will be the use to choose framerate over resolution? :) And I saw that contrary to the basic PS4, the PS4 Pro version wouldn't come with an anti-aliasing system... I'm not an expert so if anybody gets some information about why ^^'
I had a blast playing this game. My only issue is that using items is instant , which means that if you have hundreds of sp restoring items you can just spam spells bosses are weak to, for an easy victory even on mercyless. Now, ammassing items is kinda hard, there are very few shops and they only sell like 1/3 of each item kinds every time they restock, and they restock only after 5 battles so it can be grindy , but if you want to play the game that way , you can defeat anything that way,rather than getting good at dodging or making better personae/ strats.
But why can't i get PERSONA5 on switch :( Man it sucks i will never be able to play the upgraded PERSONA5 but i guess that is what i get for only having one system and being poor :)

Your attacks get interrupted alot more on hard as well.

It's one of the best jrpgs ever made. Honestly the best in my opinion. It's a mix between a stealth, strategy and a school/life simulator

Want to know what I like? The bullet amount! You can’t spam shoot enemy’s and it makes you change up combos because the combos use them!
