- These girls in Philippines showed me around Cebu. I take a bike (angkas) ride from my hotel to Plaza de Independencia in Cebu. I visit the historical Fort San Pedro (Fuerte de San Pedro) which was built in 1565 by Spanish settlers to defend themselves from enemy invasion. It was a beautiful site to see and made me feel like i was living in the 14th century. I met some nice girls while inside and had some nice conversation and the showed me around also. I then took a walk to the famous Magellan's Cross monument, which was planted by Ferdinand Magellan (spanish explorer). I met some nice students outside who wanted to ask me questions and we had a nice talk. It was nice meeting these girls in Philippines who showed me around Cebu.

Who am I?
A man from the USA trying to discover the world one place at a time, while sharing the experiences through my lens. I like traveling to places that are usually not first on most people’s itinerary and showing everyone that these places are worth the journey. I want to experience all the countries I visit as a member of the society but at the same time learn about the culture, food and beautiful people. Growth is not achievable without leaving your comfort zone, so just do it!

Good job bro Myer! It was nice talking to you during your visit at fort san pedro.
Oh I remember speaking with you! Thank you for welcoming me!
Good job Myer. Adding another information on both of the historical sites you have covered on this vlog. Keep it up and enjoy the beautiful city and people as well.
Thank you! Will do!
Informative Videos Thanks For Sharing 👍👍👍✌️👌🙌 From Cali ✌️
Great Myer 🥰
If you will be my history teacher, I'm gonna love the subject..i love how you explained it.
I used to be a teacher, but those days are over lol
Obviously you research a little bit! Thank you for giving us lessons today I’m from Cebu but you knew much better than me!👍😀🇨🇦
I definitely did do research and hope I did it justice!
Another place to check out is Temple of Leah, Taoist temple, Sirao Gardens, Cebu Ocean Park, Ayala Center cebu, I.T. Park, Santo Nino Chuch, Cathedral, etc and of course, Sinulog festival, biggest festival in the country this coming Sunday January 15.
You’re a great researcher, Myer 👍🏻👍🏻
Thank you!
Philippines was largely a Muslim country before the whole country was converted to Christianity. However the Spanish faced strong resistance from the southern part of the Philippines (the Mindanao region) and so you will see a large Muslim community in the southern Philippines.
Shout out to the warrior Mindanao people!
Amazing because you integrates history to your blogs there is like that historical place in Manila they called the walled city of Intramuros, Fort Santiago it depicts about the Spanish occupation in PH for more than 300 years..
I love history, I try to explain it as best as possible, hope I get it right!
We went there in Cebu last year😍 Here are some activities we did:
-Climbed Osmeña Peak to see the sunset
-Canyoneering to Kawasan Falls
-Swam in Tumalog Falls & Dao Falls
-Swam with whale sharks & sardines
-Attended the Sinulog Festival
and more💗😍
Myer, if you can stay few more days in Cebu you'll experience the huge Sinulog festival. It's along SRP where you rode the ankas on your way to Fort San Pedro.
For a more modern side of Cebu City, do visit Ayala Mall in Cebu Business Park and Sugbo Mercado in I.T. Park.
If you're interested in seeing a breathtaking view of Cebu from the mountaintops, try La Vie in the Sky. A few minutes away is the Temple of Leah, a Greek-inspired temple.
I hope you'll have a memorable experience here in Cebu City.
There’s no growth unless you go out of your comport zone! Awesome!👍
That's right

Myer why you don't ride the bike yourself.
You got that wrong, It was the Spanish invaders, you got it wrong dude. Where did you learn your biased history from?
Correction muslims where not invaders originally Cebu locals are muslims and the spaniards invade there land. So dont say muslims invaders cause its the spaniards who came and invade our land.
Sorry I’m just going based off what I read, I am Muslim myself, not trying to insult just want to accurately portray what history is, thanks for this info
@Luck you are wrong only on 14th century muslims came in to the philippines, before that it was indegenous people and they followed Hinduism so, basically indegenous people converted to Islam after that they converted to Christianity basically humans were not having any religion it's all made up later ....
