This was an awesome series in its day. No large arcade was without the first Lethal Enforcers. When gunfighters came out for the genesis me and my bro rented it and beat it first night. You really needed the 2nd guy to shoot the objects (that was my job) if u were using the controllers.
PS
Nov 93 was also when the very first UFC was held, now they're at 300+
That's a lot of UFC @_@
Awesome video as always Jason.
Thanks! :D
Super Metroid is the single greatest and perfect game ever made.
It's funny for me that as a lifelong Sega fanboy/fanatic that my Top 2 games of all-time are Nintendo exclusives (Super Metroid and P.N. 03).
Got both Lethal Enforcers games for MegaDrive and Mega CD with the Blue Justifier.
I hope you learned your lesson Jason.
If you are curious, this is my personal Top 5 all-time:
1. Super Metroid
2. P.N. 03
3. Doom 1993
4. Virtua Fighter 2
5. Phantasy Star/Parasite Eve/Cyberpunk 2077
3 way tie at 5, and here's why.
The original Phantasy Star is the single greatest JRPG ever made. Parasite Eve is short, but sweet, has an awesome storyline, my favorite battle system ever, and quite possibly the best soundtrack ever (though Chrono Cross might beg to differ).
Cyberpunk 2077 literally changed my life. I remember EXACTLY where I was when first announced on Thursday, May 26, 2012, and I waited an EXCRUCIATING 8 1/2 years for it.
It lived up to all the hype and then some (for me personally) at launch, and it made me quit smoking, quit drinking heavily, and made me realize that life is short, must not be taken for granted, and enjoy your life as much as you can, and live it to the fullest as possible.
You would think that Cyberpunk would be my #1, but Super Metroid will NEVER be topped. It is literally the PERFECT game due to it's design.
Great review man. The fact that those two dudes had to do the game themselves is cool and impressive.
Isn't it? I was floored by his tales.
Fantastic content and nice review! enjoyed the watch thoroughly.
Thanks! I appreciate it - enjoy the channel! :D
I had heard about this compilation but never got around to it. so it was done by all of two people?! I guess all things considered that's pretty damn impressive. as an aside we HAD that epic SEGA CD version of the original, though never managed to send away for the pink 2nd player gun, so color me a little jealous, haha.
I shall color you the hue of PINK! They actually did release it as a separate accessory in its own box. The pink gun plugs into the blue gun via the phone cord port, so it's universal.
@@GameRaveTV oh I remember seeing it in the manual as a mail-away thing, but we never sent out for it.
I'm one of those 2 people. :)
@@Vorticron oh wow! pretty impressive considering what you two had to work with, I gotta say. may need to track this one down on original playstation!
@@darktetsuya I'm pretty proud of it. I still have the source code for the saturn version. We mutually wrote tools to make this work for both platforms but we spent countless nights and I mean, for a year, eyeballing the entire game and repairing the graphics for "modern times" in photoshop. It is customary for the lead sku engineer to be in the credits so I'm in the special thanks. I'd love to release the saturn version which was a casualty of Konami suddently cancelling all of their Saturn games.
Great review. I always assumed this game had a big box including the gun, but I guess not
As far as I can tell, no. I would have had it otherwise. :D
Great pair of games - didn't know about the developer info for consoles. Do you have a reference to that story?
The developer himself. He’s posted here in the comments. :)
I suppose is playble also with Controller?
100% but it's *really* hard with a controller. There is a sequence in LEII that is almost impossible on the controller.
what a vomit of a game
A vomit of rainbows and unicorns!
