I am very excited to announce I'm moving! Ok, this might not seem like a huge change to you guys, as I am essentially just moving back into my house that you guys never really realized I left.. but it feels pretty big to me. I am excited to make some changes to my house as well- some kitchen remodeling, new flooring, add air conditioning, redo the front patio, etc... get excited!

Girl I feel that!! I literally quit my job in January because I was so incredibly frustrated with it and overworked. I was crying multiple days a week because of how unhappy I was. It was not an easy decision to quit, I kept going back and forth since that was my source of income. Looking back now, I have no regrets. I've been just taking time to relax and enjoy a much slower pace in life and I got a puppy!! I do have a seasonal position with the National Park Service I'll be starting in the next month and I am super excited to see where that takes me.
Love that minimalist kitchen too, the no handle look of the cabinets always gives me piece of mind for some reason. For your kitchen, I would get rid of the "L" altogether and just put a nice big island lengthwise (from front door towards sitting area). Regardless, seeing how your Palm Springs reno turned out, I'm excited to see what your design aesthetic has in store for us!
My mom has been a realtor for 30 years, and I got into it the same time you did (which made me SO happy!) She's always taught me that when real estate gets to be too heavy, you have to take a day or two to recuperate. It can be such a stressful, emotional, competitive industry, but it's so worth it. Don't feel guilty for taking the time that you need to take care of yourself. Your audience really is so proud of you!

I think even if you made a boring vlog, someone out there will find it interesting. Not all of our lives are the same and not everyone have the same level and context of what is "exciting." For someone that do not live close to a big city or access to malls, going to the mall, seeing the mall, seeing the people, could very well be very exciting for them. For you it may just seem like an average boring day, but for someone who lives in the boonies, what you did today could be akin to them "coming down the mountains". Keep that in mind. ;-) Luv ya! :D
I could tell the difference between the iphone and the vlog camera and personally prefer the vlog camera- the main thing i love about your channel is your camera work so i prefer that- regardless loved the vid 😊

Re: leveling the counter. I thought about doing this at my house but my mom said it's kinda nice to have because it hides all the crap on my counter from the living room. Just a thought!
The multi-cameras on the iPhones take some getting used to. Capturing subject close-ups while utilizing available light, (with non-camera generated / external flash), seems to be slower to-capture completion times, (compared to earlier models), but produce super detailed quality photos, once / if / when focus is achieved. Thanks for the excellent photography and sharing parts of your day - up your way. All outstanding!

Totally agree, been doing 1 min hot 1 min cold (as cold as the shower will get) and repeating 3 times this last month, completely changes my physical and mental state, it’s the best
The layout of your kitchen is very good. You could change things a little by just replacing some of the upper door fronts and hardware. Leveling out the counter is something people do a lot but that would mean all new countertops. The reason why people did put the elevation change is so that you don't see a messy counter and sink with dirty dishes all the time. One smooth counter is lovely but not when the kitchen isn't clean.
Hands down, best advice I’ve ever received…. Do renovations for yourself, don’t expect to get the money back. If you can accept that you will make informed decisions with renovations and edit yourself a little more.
I still have an iPhone 11 so I mean everyone upgrades when they want to switch phones. I would love to get a new one but at the same time mine works just fine so in my mind I don't need to spend the money on a new phone.
So excited for this new chapter in your life! Honestly if it were my kitchen I would redo the counter to something lighter, maybe change out the doors on the bottom to be a dark wood and change out all the knobs to golden. Then I would totally do a nice Long Island and relocate the counter seating to the island and put some minimalistic pendent lighting above the counter. You guys could easily do the cabinets and hardware to save money but maybe reach out to the builders of your home to see if they can do any of the kitchen work for a good price!
@@mx3ky41 it does. I totaled my car, minor damage BMW said 44k to fix it, I paid 2k only and pocketed the money from insurance. Here we don’t have totaling a car on the record as it only regard to finances not the actual condition of the car.

As a Christian something I value is my “sabbath day” or day of rest. We take one day every week to just rest. No work, just an easy restful day doing things I enjoy like strolling through target, binge watching my favorite UA-camrs (like you haha), and just giving my body a break. It’s crazy how much one day of rest a week can help. I highly recommend it even if you aren’t “religious” (I hate that word 🤢). Similarly how you’re resting this day, but make it a weekly habit and set aside intentional time to rest. I hope that helps!!
hey! I also am a Christian who keeps the Sabbath as God commands. However, I want to remind you how it’s a day to rest and spend with God as the center. To dwell at His feet and spend attention and time with Him and not to be twisted as another day to fill with worldly things. I think it’s so easy to see it as just a relaxing day and it should be but make sure you aren’t putting things before Him on His day of rest. :)

I think you saved so much that you can put a decent amount of money into a Reno and not make a huge dent in your savings. I also think that when you live somewhere loving it can improve your quality of life. Also if you’re going to go through the hassle of renovating while living there why not make it exactly what you want
Shakshuka is all over the place here in Israel. If you haven’t seen it yet, Trader Joe’s has a shakshuka starter where you just heat up the sauce in a pan and crack a couple eggs into it. It’s in the frozen section 🙌

The footage on the upgraded device is more crisp. Even with my less than 20/20 vision there is a noticable difference. And please don't drop it in the outdoors! haha
I really think cutting out the extension in your kitchen to replace with an island (just like in the before and after of that condo) really opens up that space, makes it more functional, and makes it look more "modern". Which I put modern in quotes because that's not really even a new kitchen design style, i just feel like design style went away from the for the last couple decades?
