Zerg versus Terran Overlord Speed Opening Tutorial!

- This is my standard ZvT Overlord Speed Opening.

A couple of things i forgot to mention are:
1. To get better at Spreading Creep always remember in which order u spread your tumors (preferably from one side of the map to the other)
2. If your opponent is going double reactored factory Don't go Baneling nest and open Roaches instead (1 Factory Hellbat Cyclone is easily defendable with LingBane)
3. If for some reason the Reaper arrives before you drone gets there and u cancled ling speed start a 3rd Queen at the natural and try to escort a drone with the Queen that spawns in the Natural to take a 3rd Base ASAP
4. If you play the Version with hididng a Drone at your third and the Terran finds the Drone just make Queens constantly at your natural and take your third base as soon as you have Ling Speed done.
5. Versus Bio I only make around 10-16 Hydras usually so i can afford Banelings and or Vipers for PreUltra Timings u really dont need more than that!
If i can think of more things i mightve forgotten about i will add them here.

my zvp when from my best matchup to my worst matchup after this last patch
yeh and my zvp became from my worst to best :D.You just scout hard look what his first opening defend it (you should defend easly since you know what will come) then heavy drone then heavy ling bane hydra.
yeah same for me .. and no matter how much i scout it i still cant really understand what he will be doing ? ling bane cant defend Stalkers ... while roach ling cant defend chargelots............. this is ........ i mean eficciently one zvp overal guide would help us out a TON
Random Guy just expand later and get her early roaches and Scout for void rays and if he goes void rays then get her early hydras when she have three bases usually you have to go for lurkers

One little miss though, you say it's an "Overlord speed" opening, but you didn't mention when to order this upgrade. I figured it out from the video, you order Overlord speed with the second 100 gas, after ling speed (since you always have 3 drones on gas, should be just after the 3rd Hatchery), it's 04:37 of the video, 2;48 in game.

First of all, thanks for your guides, they are very informative, cant w8 for ZvZ. But I have 2 questions: 1)I dont see you getting ling attack speed upgrade. Is it on purpose? because i thought u should take it asap with ultra cavern when hive is ready. 2) is hydra+ling+baneling style still fine if mech has thors to tank damage instead of pure hellbats?
1. U should absolutley get the Ling Speed Upgrade as soon as you can afford it, i just forgot about it in the Abyssal game
2. Yes Hydra Bane is actually a good defensive composition to hold pushes that arrive before Ultras/Vipers. Since u usually rush Hive vs Mech if you want to play a long game, Terran can't push with more than 6 to 8 Tanks if they want to hit before Vipers are done, just make sure to Surround and come from as many angles as possible

Hi, Lambo, why do you make tumors with your first queens? Isn't it better to make more injects for more drones earlier?
as long as you can spend all your money making tumors is good - you want to get creep out as early as possible to connect your bases and get the creepspread going. And since i take my third very early i get extra larva from that anyways!
If u don't need early ling speed, why don't u use build like 17 hatch 18 pool 19-20 gas and start ling speed right after ur 3rd will be started?
Because that would be inefficient, since more than 16 workers would be in the mineral line. So u want them to mine gas instead. It also would also delay overlord speed too much to reactivley hold hellbat all ins and would be bad vs any sort of proxy barracks builds!
3 rax reaper shouldn't be a problem anymore - Lambo 2017.
Can you make a tutorial for ZvP too?
is overlord speed something that anyone below masters 1 should be doing? is this a stylistic preference? am i behind or will i get a significant advantage with this? just curious on the advantages and disadvantages of OL speed opener, PS im a m3 4800 / 4900 zerg
Overlord Speed is good on any level, the advantage you get is free scouting and easier followup scouts instead of relying on small zergling runbys to scout, aswell as your overlords in early game spread quicker which means you get to build your ring of vision around your base quicker, which makes defending liberators or mine drops easier. The disadvantage is, that you mine less minerals at the start of the game which translates to your queens being a bit delayed which means they will be a bit shorter on energy and u skip 1 more inject than usual. Both openings are completley fine to do and it comes down to personal preference.

Additionally don't forget that it adds in your mid/late game tools the baneling drops.
What you didn't cover in your video is how to defend against bunker rushes. Got any tips on that?
He actually explains it within the first minute of the video. 0:54 Shows you how to defend it.
I talked abit about it at the start of the video, it's basically all about pulling the right amount of drones at the correct time to prevent a bunker from going up/preventing marines from entering a bunker. But it is a bit too complicated to explain in the comments, maybe i will do a short extra video on it at some point. I can give u a more detailed answer if u ask me this question on my Stream!

Not really there are some small but very important differences in the ZvP opening, but i will make a guide for ZvZ and ZvP soon aswell!
