What do you call a team that goes 2-0 up, only to let their opponent equalize and end the match 2-2? A team lacking the ambition to win. That’s exactly what the Arsenal vs. Aston Villa match has shown us. How can a team allow their opponents to score two goals after building a solid lead? Where is the defensive composure? A truly competitive team fights to maintain their advantage and secure victory. Unfortunately, Arsenal’s defensive shortcomings suggest there is much work to be done. This recurring issue highlights a lack of defensive strength and tactical intelligence under pressure, and it’s becoming a pattern we’ve seen too often. Whoever is responsible for Arsenal’s defensive coaching must urgently address these flaws. A sound defensive strategy keeps opponents outside the penalty area, yet Arsenal frequently invites pressure, allowing opponents into dangerous positions and placing unnecessary stress on the goalkeeper. This approach is not only ineffective but reckless. It’s reminiscent of Arsène Wenger’s tactics, which often backfired in critical moments. Arteta now faces a serious challenge. The defensive collapse against Aston Villa is simply unacceptable. For Arsenal fans, it’s another bitter reminder that catching up to the mighty Liverpool this season is slipping out of reach. Once again, the dream of winning the Premier League has been derailed. Aston Villa seems to be Arsenal’s perennial stumbling block, and despite countless opportunities to secure the title, new obstacles arise whether it’s Manchester City in the past or Liverpool’s new coaching brilliance now. Arteta must find solutions quickly. Given the frustration and impatience of the fans, it’s easy to see why confidence in the team is wavering. Without addressing these defensive vulnerabilities and striker issue, Arsenal will continue to fall short of their ambitions.
Imagine if Villa came out to play the whole game, at times it was just Watkins breaking on his own, bear in mind Watkins was doing his typical thing in the first half
I think it’s mindset. Even though Liverpool aren’t as great as City of the past they still have the mindset instilled by Klopp to always go for the win and never giving up. I think Arsenal lack this.
Plus Liverpool have something major that Arsenal don’t: experience of actually winning the biggest trophies in the cheating Man City era. It’s truly extraordinary to watch the arrogance and entitlement on display of a team who’s won nothing (finishing 2nd twice with loads of mitigating circumstances is not winning) yet behaving like a team that’s won it all. Where does it come from?
Here is the thing. Arsenal has won only one game in the Premier League with Thomas Partey playing as a right-back. In the six matches where Partey has been deployed in this position, Arsenal has conceded in all six, dropping 11 points out of a possible 18, and securing just one win, which was against Southampton at home. This suggests that with Partey at right-back, the team’s success rate is lower compared to when he plays in his natural midfield role. Partey should not play right back again because it weakens both defence and the midfield. I just wonderf whether Arteta is the Man for the job?
I’m a Liverpool fan and love watching Turkish. No banter from me. Arsenal are my “London” club deep respect to you. If Liverpool weren’t challenging for the title I’d want Arsenal to win it. Lot more twists and turns yet.

This guy is deluded - Liverpool 6 ahead with a game in hand, superior goal difference and Arsenal need to win at Anfield.. he needs to start taking his meds .. bottlers
The harsh reality about Liverpool dropping points is they need 43 out of 51 points to win the league. That means they can draw 4 more games and win the league despite Arsenal winning all their remaining games
gd much better too so we could actually lose three times as well. Arsenal has to basically win out now and definitely beat us at Anfield. That's veryvery unlikely
We seriously need to stop using words like "process" and "phase" as a fan base....we are now either winning or we are failing..... Trophies are a must 5 years in now. Fans who are still using words like "phase'" and "process' in ways to excuse our failure to progress are simply deluded.
Mikel Arteta is getting the line up wrong. He supposed to use three at back ,move Thomas Partey to midfield. Four midfielders. Alternatively Lewis play Saka's position, Zencienko is fit for left back Our keeper is slacking
One question I’d like to ask Arteta is why did he feel the need to change his style of play. Merino was bought I believe solely for his aerial duels. Arsenal have always been known for their creativity

Whos the better manager arsenal fans don't want to admit emery is miles ahead
Emery haha he used to go 1-0 up with us and put 10 defenders on and concede. Terrible manager
@TheKnowledge1 how many trophys has he won and did he get time to rebuild the team 🤔
@@TheKnowledge1Any truth to the story that Emery told the board who had to leave the club and they wouldn't back him. Arteta gave them the same list and they listened?
@@TheKnowledge1 Emerys won more European cups than Arsenal have
@ for now..
turkish asked "where was odegard today ?" i think he went to get his camara m8.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
People love to talk about Maddison, let’s have the same energy for our captain 👍.
Only came to watch the honest fan that is Turkish.
This Arsenal team is full of artists.
They love to draw 😂
Absolutely spot on. He knows his team too well
Halfway in the transfer window with many injuries, even without injuries, we needed 3 players to compete, but the ownership isn't addressed. I am tired of this puppet manager, and this poor ownership
Cunha at least would be perfect. Can cover 3 positions and he’s class
@@TheKnowledge1 Who told u that? Pokemon?
Mad respect to Turkish and Yardman for pulling no punches and spitting facts!
Sign Saliba And Gabriel to long term contracts and we'll be ok for the near future. Also I am convinced Mikel Merino is a bad luck charm.
Spot-on today, Turkish. Spoke with your heart, brain, and head. Our squad is tiny and unquestionably, Arsenal protracts signings. And that I can't understand.
Masssive credit to Thomas partey looooooool!!
Turkish is a real one 👏🏾
He is 100% right, this team is 2 players away from being a great team, but as long as they play Kuntvertz as their CF, they will never win the league. I can bet my mortgage, my life, my kids' lives on that.
Don't bring your kids lives into a statement like that mate, even jokingly
Turkish is pretty spot on these days, i dont always agree with him but probably the most balanced analysis. A bit harsh at times but spot on at the moment.
BACK TO SQUARE ONE
I'm a Utd fan and respect to Turkish for being honest and real with his team objective
Only Turkish and Yardman worth listening too the rest talk bollox
Lee Judges is good aswell…
Agreed. They are try arsenal fans. Rest are PR men
this Turkish Dude talks fact and tell it like it is!!!! i wish the board were watching and listening to that!
AFTV stay editing sh!# out 9:38 🤔 why ?
Could harm the channel and Turkish, and probably said something in the heat of the moment. Nothing wrong with protecting your brand and podcaster
Turkish is maturing from being over emotional love to see it
It took Unai Emery leaving Arsenal to help Arsenal stay in second place
Is it true that he told the Arsenal board who he wanted out of the club and they wouldn't listen; and that after he was gone Arteta gave them the same list?
Turkish, Yardman and Dan may be the only genuine Arsenal supporters who call things as they are. I'm a United supporter and I always watch Turkish's interviews
Arteta is the problem it’s not even a debate he simply does not know what to do when it comes to the defining moments in cups and the league.
When they are calm, just know they are slowly giving up for good
HOOOOOLLDDDDD THATTTTT😂😂😂😂😂😂
this is a very matured Turkish...i like this version of Turkish
as a rival fan as much as i love hate watching, fans like turkish speak the truth. i sympathize with him, fans like him deserve the good things. Not these “fans” who think criticizing the manager, players or the board is a crime.
I like him because he speaks facts and isn’t deluded or massively bias like some of the other contributors/fans on AFTV. He articulates his points really well too.
PARTEY at right back = 0 wins 🤣🤣
Strong, clear and very necessary words at the end. Well done, Turkish
Ok plastic
The only reasonable and genuine arsenal fan who only wants to see his team win trophies gets a stick and called names to me is bizarre,,,,,I just admire Turkish, yardman,Dan pot and Curtis for always speaking up and saying the truth....5years we are still chasing a major trophy under arteta is delusional,,arteta should go honestly.he is just not the man to take us over the line
I agree with Turkish today he's always been right all alone
Arteta asked for cb's and not attackers or midfielders why complain 😂
Worry about ur team u skunk
when Partey plays RB, its all chaos. We needed Kiwior to step in the role of Saliba
I predicted it 3 days ago Emery just knows how to get points off Arsenal. Must win game and we don’t what a shock. Tuesday we were the same points of Liverpool but now 2 games closer to the finish. These owners are a joke tho riddled with injuries in attack and we won’t buy a striker with 12 days left till window closes
Get yourself a Darwin Nunez
Im a liverpool fan and turkish is the only fan on aftv that talks sense. Rest are deluded af
Turkish is a real one. Spitting facts. He is so on the money. We arent a serious club. Theyve spent to bridge the gap. Now we are back to competing the pot has dried up.
This guy is deluded - Liverpool 6 ahead with a game in hand, superior goal difference and Arsenal need to win at Anfield.. he needs to start taking his meds .. bottlers
We had all our best players out. .
R u dumb?...
@@darshananthjayaraman8660 cope
Love the way he speaks, he’s spot on.
Unlucky Stoke 😂
"Good Ebening" Unai Emery masterclass.
The harsh reality about Liverpool dropping points is they need 43 out of 51 points to win the league. That means they can draw 4 more games and win the league despite Arsenal winning all their remaining games
And Arsenal are definitely not winning all their games. Thats the one thing they are consistent with. Dropping points whenever Liverpool do.
gd much better too so we could actually lose three times as well.
PROTON VPN FC
Mikel Arteta is getting the line up wrong. He supposed to use three at back ,move Thomas Partey to midfield. Four midfielders.
Alternatively Lewis play Saka's position, Zencienko is fit for left back
Our keeper is slacking
One question I’d like to ask Arteta is why did he feel the need to change his style of play. Merino was bought I believe solely for his aerial duels. Arsenal have always been known for their creativity
