1. Visual schedule; 2. Primitive reflex integration; 3. Social stories; 4. Emotional regulation, such as 5 finger deep breathing; 5. Yoga, stretching, mindfulness practice. This should work for adults who struggle with interception too :) great content, ladies!
It absolutely can help adults as well!!! Thank you!
Glad to have stumbled on you. Freebies, podcasts and useful activities and resources without all the long winded chats. Straight to the point and simple to understand. Thank you (busy 1:1 SEN TA with limited funds to pay for information and trainings. Will be recommending you)
Thank you so much!!! Glad you're finding our content helpful!
I think what you are doing is incredible, I am an adult with learning disabilities and felt all my life I was stupid ,so to give this opportunity to young children to grow in the way they
Should grow and learn is so lmportant.
I knew instinctively I had problems but I was not able to verbalise and ask for help. I was a breech birth baby so missing out on the crawling stage was part of my problem.
Getting children at an early age and helping integrate their primitive reflexes should be in every school in the world. Think of how much that would help society in the long term if these children were helped at an early age . The best of luck to you.x
Thank you so much!
We do have resources for adults on our website - harkla.co - if you're interested!

A lot of references to other resources makes this video a bit uninformative. This seems to be an introduction to the terminology & not an explanation. 🙏🏽
So sorry it wasn't helpful! We referenced a lot of resources that we've found helpful in our practice! We have more info on this topic if you're interested and hopefully it's more helpful for you!

awful no actual real interception tools, interoception is how to feel whats going on in ones own body.. this talks about telling the child how a child should be feeling in a certain situation, smells a lot like control of children and making them wrong because of social emotional control
Hey there! Yes, we do talk about what interoception is - understanding all of the internal workings of the body (hunger and thirst, using the bathroom, pain and illness, emotions, etc.). Our goal with this video was to provide some helpful information as well as some strategies to try! We definitely do not recommend telling a child how they feel without digging deeper to find the "why" and then the goal is to teach the child how to understand their internal triggers!
