I didnt think they could top that nemedian haunted pack.. but boy oh boy did they manage with this one.... its even more low effort, not worth more than $2 or $3 bucks
@@MS-ys6vj Eh I disagree, I think Nemedian Haunted is still one of the worst bundles. This one at least has cultural, internal & external cohesion, nothing felt Nemedian about the Nemedian bundle, it would have been more accurate to just name it "spooky items" 😂
I 100% agree with your assessment. To make the price tag even more out of line for me is the fact that I wouldn't use the saddle or the mace. I always like more clothing/armor options, but when you get up into the $15-$20 price range, I want to see much more in a bundle than what this offers.
Yeah I'm not much of a horse user, nor a mace enthusiast. It'd be more worth it for someone that falls into that niche of using everything in the set, but even then I wouldn't say it's worth $17
I really, really wish that Funcom would give us 'barbarian' culture stuff. Like Cimmerian gear being similar to Scottish Highlander stuff (great kilts, claymores etc). Or more stuff that looks like the Conan comics. And come on give us something like Conan's father's sword, or the swords from the Jason Mamoa Conan movie cause they'd look awesome in the game.
I'd be down to see more Barbarian stuff. We've gone through a lot of different aesthetics so far, to varying degrees of depth, but a fair amount have been a bit more refined like this, Zingaran etc. I'd like to see some proper barbaric gear, or Darfari/Black Kingdoms
@@Eradicati0nn It's the one thing I find most annoying. I liked the Aesir stuff. But give us Cimmerian stuff, and Darfari, and others like it. Like I desperately want a Cimmerian building set.
If you are playing in singleplayer, I've found a fix to the lack of wind physics since I too experienced it a lot (seemingly at random). If your clothes are lacking simulation physics, go to the nearest orb of nergal and change your height as close to normal medium height (right in the middle of the slider) as you can. Take all your armor off and place it all back on. As soon as your physics are working again, use the orb of nergal and set your height to the desired height you want again. The bug has something to do with height on the male model (not sure about female model bug replication). Great video! Love the sets a lot but you said it perfectly, they're just so expensive.
I highly suspect we're gonna see a 'Corinthian Super Set' in the future that consolidates the Argossean extension and all Corinthian bundles into a (comparatively) better price
If it was like 5$ or close to that i'd cosider to buy it. But for me other Bazar things have much more value for money than that one. 17$ for that few (even if highly detailed) is INSANE!
Love everything here and finally the horse do not lose its tail! YAY I only wish the blue would be black or we could dye the saddle but well, it is beautiful even in blue.
I so appreciate eradication reviewing these honestly and fairly, calling out the price gouging. Ill follow you across multiple games bro cause you're looking out for your subs and not just recommending that we support funcom rubbish because they might support you periodically
Thank you Boz, I find it's always pretty transparent when creators only recommend stuff based on their relationship with the devs. Fortunately the Conan creator community isn't really like that, and for all their faults, Funcom have never asked me (or anyone else that I know of) for positive coverage of something, just honesty. Conan's gonna remain my main game for the foreseeable future, assuming nothing unexpected happens ofc. I'll be trying Dune for a bit when it drops, but no game really holds my interest as much as Conan does, nor am I as passionate about any other game (aside from Cyberpunk maybe 😂)
@@Eradicati0nn am the same I started on Xbox switched to my my console playstation and now trying mods on pc three times I've bought this thing It's a real love hate relationship
I was surprised to see these cloth items be so averse to clothing physics. One of the things that impressed me when I first started playing Conan years and years ago were the hair/cloth physics. Seeing as the big Sandstorm is an important event in the Exiled Lands, it made sense that your hair and clothes could be violently whipped around as a result, and that the game leaned into that with a robust engine for items to be affected by the weather. As soon as I saw that the head wrap didn’t move off of your shoulders when moving around, and being very aware that other similar head pieces do exactly that, it raised a big red flag for me.
I have found that if you play to the strengths it is very good. Not a costume for characters I believe, however my thralls in the Corinthian blends well with the argosian build. The weather effect not visible is very good for indoor throws as they are indoors where it is not windy. This is something that has always bugged me. I also believe that mixing with other costumes works very well. I have used the bath robes with the academic and blue dye to outfit my Mitra Priest. For me the set cures some issues I have had and I find value in the price I paid.
Excellent summary as always. Corinthian Stargazer set (four items) - nope, not economical and does indeed appear to have issues with animations, etc. so a big 'No' for me. The Argossean Observatory and Aesir Stronghold sets I have already got in dribs and drabs via th DLC and the recent add to Argossean - Aesir when it landed. Of course, the one very active builder on my server has everything so at least one sale has been made of the Stargazer - hopefully the Creative that did it gets payment.
Thank you Grymm! Hopefully the issues with texture stretching and wind physics won't show up for most people, I know it's disappeared for me as quickly as it's appeared in the past. My main issue with the set was just how middle-ground it is tbh, it doesn't feel like anything special for the price, even if it is very high on the cohesive scale Always appreciate seeing you in the comments, glad you enjoyed the video my man 🙏
I'd be more interested in this set if it also included the Corinthian decor items currently in the admin panel (that haven't made it into the bazaar yet). Same with the pictish stalker stuff, if they put everything together in the bazaar, I'd have probably bought it the first go round.
Yeah I found it strange that they're dropping the deco and the armor separately. I'm very much anticipating a Corinthian super bundle similar to the Aquilonian one, where all the previous Corinthian sets are put together for a comparatively better price
The physics bug comes when you change clothes. You can reset the physics with teleport from one corner of the map to the other in the longest way you can. Sadly this is mostly not possible at official servers but with admin port you can do it whenever you want. Sometimes you have to do it more times.
the issue with this test: the clothes physics is off because of invalid character size.. with phisic on, it's different when you walk etc....put your characters at 50% size for fx bug (you need reequipe also)
I have been and continue to be extremely critical of the prices in the bazaar. IMO all of the items in the bazaar are over priced. I'm not asking for a constant stream of free content. Just a reasonable price point. Having gotten that out of the way..... I'm impressed that Funcom allows you to give your honest opinion. Other studios would have cut you off long ago. Most studio gifts come with expectations.
I think the building sets are generally alright at the $10 price point, but most other things are generally overpriced to varying degrees, with a couple of exceptions here or there. For all the issues with Conan, Funcom's never asked for anything but honesty in regards to how I (and other creators) feel about features, bundles etc. I watch some other creators for titles like COD and it seems many studios are a lot worse than Funcom in terms of creator relations. Activision allegedly stalk their creators and cut them off if they breathe even a hint of negativity 😂 I count myself lucky in that regard
Funcom should really kick out that "monetary advisor" of theirs - that person must be totaly nuts if they think those prices in Bazaar are even somewhere near acceptable. Take your torches and pitchforks if you will, but I start to miss Battlepass dearly (cultural DLCs I even won't bother mentioning)...
I got that bundle, feeling ripped off , plus it has clipping issues around the right arm. Funcom needs to do a lot more about the quality and price, seeing as they still haven’t fixed the living settlement or thralls getting stuck in foundations. We need an independent QC tester.
I normally buy every offering except the stand alone armor ones unless they really appeal to me. I looked at this set numerous times and just don’t find myself drawn enough to spend that type of money.
If Funcom released monthly cultural DLC packs, they'd be virtually guaranteed monthly purchases from a huge number of players. Darfari, Kushite, Hyrkanian, Cimmerian, Hyperborean are all criminally under-served by base game building sets, armours etc. - never mind the cultures they've barely touched like Himelian, or not touched at all, like Afghuli... But I guess the metrics must bear out this approach instead: psychologically manipulating the fanbase into shelling out tip dollar for inadequate tidbits.
The problem with the hat can be described with the meme: "look at his head", especially the female head looks deformed under the hat. For comparison, Aesir set is 4.5 usd right now in my region...
The Zath dancer outfit does the same "stickiness" thing as these outfits do and is why I stopped wearin' it long ago. It sticks to the legs and stretches out badly when climbing. It looks terrible. Sexy outfit, but terrible to wear. On dancers,it's not bad because as long as they're just dancin' it doesn't stretch too bad. The horse armour here is pretty noticeable and would probably bother me,the robes not so much. Why don't they fix these issues?? They've been in the game for years. And,why does it only effect a few and not others??
I have no idea what causes the sticky clothing issue, I've not been able to nail it down, and sometimes it disappears as quickly as it shows up. I'm guessing it's probably fallen quite low on the list though, given the wealth of issues currently at play 😂
I think Dennis mentioned before there was a technical issue with adding a back item like a cloak, though I agree, I would love to have just a separate cloak slot in general
Myself and quite a few others have had that issue. The only workaround I've found is to back up your save files and start a new save, that way you can still play, and hopefully when a fix is made, you can import your save data and the fix will apply to it. I'll have a guide on how to do that (for PC) coming soon
I have the money and would buy but as long as they don't fix the game no more money from me. I am so tired to see my thralls sticking into the ground whenever I fight the crocodile and all the other things.
You make a stellar point tbh, I think a lot of possible purchasers are wary of doing so given the game's massive bugs at the moment. I wouldn't be surprised if bug fixes directly increase Bazaar revenue to some degree 😂
Let's face it: CE has turned into a cash cow where we are expected to pay absurd amounts of money for content that offers less than the former DLC bundles.
The prices have just got out of hand. When you compare them to what the game itself costs or the older DLC prices, the cost/content is just WAY off. The game is full of bugs and it's getting more difficult to justify still playing in the first place. I'd pay $17 for a smooth running, crash free game rather than for some clothes a weapon skin.
