Thomas, I do my must-make-it workout Sat morning after getting up, 30min run then 40min weights in supersets.
Then I do the week laundry post-shower which gets me that activity and a sense of accomplicement, as I can enjoy post-workout meals while washing and plan the rest of my day while drying.
I love that 4 hr start to my Sat morning and no matter, I got something done that Sat - Love to hear it fits the pattern!

Good point, being sedentary is really bad for us, our ancestors hardly ever did it. Sitting is the new smoking. I find the easiest is to have a standing desk and being on my feet 12 hours a day. Your'e always shifting weight and moving even while "standing". It might take a few weeks to adapt, and use a mat or carpet. My legs never get tired.

Obviously. And if you take a nap after eating a large cheese pizza, you'll have to wait until those 1300 or so calories are burned off before you can start burning fuel already stored as body. But, if you go for a 3 hour jog, you may get the benefits of the last 15 minutes or so of fat burning because you'll have already burned through the pizza. Then if you are not moving around within 20 minutes, all the rest of the fat you mobilized or will mobilize until your next feeding, well that will be burned more slowly and your insulin resistance will gradually increase the less you move about.
So really, all you need to do is quit your job and never stop moving while eating kale 24/7 to ensure you are getting enough fiber *unless* you are eating seaweed, macadamia nuts, or low fat meats you add your own fat too. Duh..
On a serious note, I really like Tom. His advice is typically very good, though sometimes it is just common sense and rephrased _"Eat less, eat better, move more."_ which is fine, accept when it is incredibly impractical and inadvertently (I assume it is inadvertent since shaming people who are already healthy and/or busting their ass to get there isn't cool) comes off as a bit condescending. Movement may be free, but a lot of us simply cannot get up and move around the office every 20 minutes. Our bosses would lose their shit, or taking 5 every 20 minutes would make us immensely less productive etc etc.. . In addition, a lot of us work long days where we are forced to be sedentary, then put in an hour at the gym, and another hour walking in the late afternoon/early/evening while still wanting/needing to make time for our families who simply are not as into fitness as we are. We can't leave the movies, heck, sometimes even a TV show, to go in the other room and do 5 minutes of Jumping Jacks. That's just not normal.
Would it help with fat loss? No shit. Would it hurt our real life life relationships? Yes. Does it mean he shouldn't stat the obvious? I guess not, but I would bet a dollar to donuts (I like donuts more than jerky, don't care how he feels about that) that if you get into _fat burning mode_ then move for 5 minutes every *HOUR* you get almost the exact same benefits as far as insulin resistance goes and all the other cool fasting/weight loss markers as if you did it every 20 minutes.
I also need to remind myself that he isn't always talking _to me._ A lot of his advice simply does not apply to me. It doesn't apply to a *lot* of people. Ei say someone was in an accident and lost all of their teeth. Insurance doesn't pay for implants and they don't have $50K for implants so they're stuck with dentures. Are they supposed to eat jerky and lean steak every day? Of course not, they probably aren't eating jerky at all and have steak on rare occasions. Don't get me started on Macadamia nuts...
He also *lives* in the fitness, getting paid more per hour for his personal training services (irl) than most surgeons. Literally. i mean if Disney hires you to work with their actors before a movie, well let's just say they pay people pretty well, as do celebrities in general. They are also trying to get to 10% bf at worst in most cases, usually from a _Dad Bod_ spot at best. The majority of *men* watching his content are not going for 10% or less body fat. We're going for 11%-15% (for the most part) and just getting generally healthier. Now this advice *IS* fantastic for a lot of younger guys, say 16-23 who may have a shitload of time on their hands. They might spend an hour at the gym and 30 minutes playing basketball, but the rest is spent in class or playing video games. Almost all of his advice is achievable without any life or relationship disruptions and would probably take some stress off mom because they'd be doing their own laundry to get some extra movement in as they take a break from Overwatch 2 or CoD. Younger people also tend to be able to eat a lot more when it comes to types of foods without any gut disagreements but also seem to make far, far worse choices.
Enough rambling from me. Just wanted to say that I agreed with you. This info does seem kinda come across as _"What are you dumb, lazy or both?"_ but I really don' think that's the way it was intended. He also has to come up with something pretty much every day to stay in the YT algorithms favor so they can't all be bangers. _"If you just move more after exercising you will see more benefits"_ is pushing it a little bit though. Hey, if you read more about physics after your mechanical engineering class, studies show that you don't just learn more about mechanical engineering that day, you also learn more about physics. Yep. This study is a true breakthrough in _"Wow, you should be a bloody detective for cracking that mystery."_

Nothing keeps me thinned down as much as this activity does... ( I still don't know why... Because cal in/ cal out and other "workouts" during the day and ect... Do not have this amazing effect)...
Which is "working out then sleeping"... Yes my style of "walking" is equal to most "workouts"...
So I imagine this is in a separate category from what you are explaining?

What causes the continuous fat loss from movements after major exercising? Do you need to raise your heart rate by a certain amount? Is such continuous movements after previous exercising actauuly healthy? Just cause you are doing something that burns fat doesn't mean it's healthy. I typically pay attention to lowering my heart rate to the low 50s,or even 40s as part of my relaxation. I believe this is healthier than letting any physical stress raise my heart rate throughout the day.

1:17 - 2:05 Wait, I'm not sure we can actually conclude this. For one thing, the first study referenced in your excerpt from 0:59, which showed increased LPL expression of up to 127% 4 hours after exercise was a study done on humans performing exercise. The latter study showing the 90% decrease mentions observing the levels in mice. So right off the bat, if there's a question of whether expression of LPL increases and remains elevated after exercise, or whether it drops once activity has stopped, I'd be more likely to lean towards the study that observed humans vs mice. I'd want to see the 90% drop in LPL observed in humans as well.
Also, is the second study mentioned observing mice that have been exercised and then become sedentary? And if so, how long after the exercise are they sedentary? The first study referenced observed no changes in LPL levels when tested 20 hours after exercise, but observed the 127% increase when tested 4 hours after exercise, and 93% increase when tested 8 hours after exercise. Suggesting that these levels probably spike up for a period of time after we exercise and then return to baseline over time. So if that's what actually occurs, then this is antithetical to a 90% drop of these levels during periods of inactivity post exercise (within the time windows where elevated levels of LPL were observed). Something can't spike up to 127% of baseline while also simultaneously dropping to 90% less of baseline at the same time...
I mean sure, if you keep moving about and staying active after you exercise, then it makes sense that you'd potentially burn more fat. After all, you're still moving and burning calories vs being sedentary and not burning any calories. But I'm not sure if it has anything to do with LPL levels dropping off a cliff just because you sat down for a couple of hours after your exercise. If the first study's observations are indicative of a typical person, than it would seem your LPL levels remain raised for many hours after exercise.

Anyway, you should know that "BURNING" fat, means burning the triglycerides inside the fat.
The fat cells will remain alive and ready to absorb any extra calories you give them, or not even extra but just like he says, the circulating triglycerides that were released but not used.
Use ice packs to kill the fat cells. Your body creates new fat cells but not as easily as it will absorb fat in already existing fat cells

You can kill a dog with only one Macadamia nut, Avocados, chocolate, onions and potatoes and grapes because they don't have the same metabolism as humans. Keep in mind that those little things jumps on a nut on the floor as fast as an Olympian sprinter.
