@@rescuerex7031 so far I'm gonna say it's not as *dark* as tamers but it is ready to dive deeper into the psyche of the main char more without being overbearing like the reboot and also gives some proper reasons as to why something happens late or etc. Pretty solid continuity as they haven't missed previous details as the main trio actually learns things and calls each other out for their faults

From the current episode I am right now, 39, I am happy with this series and with a lot of changes they made to it so is not your typical Digimon scenario. For example, Kiyoshiro, is a combination Joe and Izzy being both loyal a genius and being afraid all the time but fights anyway, and instead of giving him a Digimon that helps become more brave or to overcome his fears, he gets a female trolling digimon that falls in love with him, that is GOLD. Ruri I think is the most original character, while she is an influencer and helps the team to find digimons thanks to her blog, she is actually more than just the girl, a problem that Digimon had to deal in both Xross Wars and Appmonsters. And also, something I love is her relation with Angoramon, instead of giving her a female digimon that could discuss about fashion and more stuff female characters tend to do, she gets a digimon that is fluffy like a stuffed animal or like a pet, that is very knowledgeable and wants to improve his knowledge and ends each episode with a poem, i believe it has a proper name, though I cant remember what it is. And finally we have the main protagonist, Hiro, I like that he is not headstrong like Tai, Davis or Masaru, and that he is actually way mature than most of the Digimon protagonists, and I loved that his father is the kid that avoids responsabilities. Also, Gamamon, my god I LOVE him, even with his evil evolution, after Guilmon, Gamamon is the cutest protagonist digimon I have ever seen, he is actually a curious child and acts like it!
I wholeheartedly agree because I have major “main protagonist vibes”, so my favorites are understandably Hiro and Gammamon for the same reasonings you mentioned alongside the fact I am personally obsessed with characters that are similar to Hiro that are calm, caring, protective and kindhearted while Gammamon being the curiosity type, not the mention that I really, really love their brotherly bond to point there my personal favorites in the franchise; shame it’s almost over on one hand but I still want to see more Gammamon please!!!! 😭🥹💖💛

@@nuruddinshah684 My opinion (minor spoiler warning!!): I though ep1 of the reboot was great, set up an incredible modern story, with some interesting character dynamics (especially Yamato’s introduction), but a few episodes later the series got stale. The worst was the lack of character development, which was the best part of the original Adventure. There was nonstop action with none of the nostalgic goofy fillers or character backstory... then there was a sudden string of filler stories that would’ve halted the show’s momentum if it hadn’t already. It completely lacked the heart of past Digimon shows. Unlike Tri and Last Evolution, it wasn’t catering to old Digimon fans. It was just a regular, mediocre kid show... I still enjoyed it because I’m a massive Digimon fan and just looking at the character designs is nostalgic, but I’m extremely disappointed by its squandered potential. Adventure 2020 may have lowered the bar enough for me to get hooked by Digimon Ghost Game though! Different setting, fresh new concept, new characters so they’re forced to give us character development... I’m ready!!! 👻

最初の頃はなんとなく難しい曲という印象だったのですが、最終回間近になってすごく気に入って来てしまいました。
デジモンのオープニング曲は02とテイマーズのが特に好きだったのですが、それに通じる熱さに、ホラーらしい摩訶不思議な感じが絶妙に組み合わさった感じというか、歌うのがちょっと難しいのも逆に歌ってて楽しくなるというか。

I have the same fear, haha... but we're guaranteed more character development as they're not using established characters, and this dark/horror concept is so intriguing. I'm excited!! 😊

@@nuruddinshah684 My opinion (minor spoiler warning!!): I though ep1 of the reboot was great, set up an incredible modern story, with some interesting character dynamics (especially Yamato’s introduction), but a few episodes later the series got stale. The worst was the lack of character development, which was the best part of the original Adventure. There was nonstop action with none of the nostalgic goofy fillers or character backstory... then there was a sudden string of filler stories that would’ve halted the show’s momentum if it hadn’t already. It completely lacked the heart of past Digimon shows. Unlike Tri and Last Evolution, it wasn’t catering to old Digimon fans. It was just a regular, mediocre kid show... I still enjoyed it because I’m a massive Digimon fan and just looking at the character designs is nostalgic, but I’m extremely disappointed by its squandered potential.
Adventure 2020 may have lowered the bar enough for me to get hooked by Digimon Ghost Game though! Different setting, fresh new concept, new characters so they’re forced to give us character development... I’m ready!!! 👻
