Gosh, I can't really say which shade is my fave in YSL's Slim Sheer Matte range. MAAAAAYBE 102 or 107? But the corals are really pretty too. These often look different once applied on the lips, so don't just eyeball the tubes and choose a color to purchase!
Thank you for the video! Since the purpose of manufacturing a buildable lipstick is for people who want both a sheer lip and an intense lip, I wish you had done a sheer version as well.
Hi sweetie, thanks for the feedback!! I didn’t even think of it at the time as I thought it was meant to be a semi-sheer powder-matte type of formula (i.e. not meant to be as opaque as a regular matte lipstick) so I only wore it one way! 🤣
Thanks Denise! Yeah I've been sleeping on these for awhile! Mainly cos there was SO many mattes launching recently that it's hard to keep up! But these are so comfortable I wish I'd tried them out earlier.
Hi Junyan, I’m not 100% sure since it was awhile ago but it should have been It Cosmetics CC+ Oil-Free Matte! But it’s definitely set with some translucent loose powder as well. (Laura Mercier most likely.)
Love your review. Question re 103: the lipstick looks so orange but it doesn’t go on that orange on you in the video. Is it just the lighting or does the orange go a bit coral once applied? I’ve got 112 which I love but not sure whether to get 103/111 for coral look or 102 for nude lip. Decisions decisions!
Hi Karen, yes some of the colors do go on different to how they look in the tubes cos of the sheerness! 103 is definitely slightly coral. The pink undertones are not so visible when it is solid.

107 is too dark for you. You look good in brighter lipstick color
