This song is triggering AF, but what better way to face these triggers than dancing them away? A very common theme in this song...about the person who starts to run away as soon as they get too close to someone. The reasons behind this can be complex and diverse, for example, because of fear of exposing who they really are, because of fear of getting too attached and then being abandoned, so they do it first, because they are stuck on someone else, because they don't see a long term potential due to superficial aspects (looks, fame, money etc) ..or other reasons that are very cruel and done by sociopaths or psychopaths. In this song specifically, the singer says he does not know the reason, but the other lyrics give it away. It seems that in the singer's mind, the more someone suffers because of them, the more they care or love them, which is very messed up and untrue. So they run away to test how much the other person cares for them. Ugh..damn.. You can love and miss someone very much and still be happy in their absence. Plus, how can you love from a place of sadness and hurt? Love does not even exist there. He also says he just does what others did to him so instead and pausing to heal, he spreads his pain over others.
Anyway...a few mentions about the dog on my couch. I'm just looking out after her until her owner gets back. She entered very unexpectedly into my life. One night I was told about her, the next morning she was in my house. What's strange is that a few days prior to this, I prayed to meet a soul that cares for me, EXACTLY the same way I care for others. Guess that soul is in dog form at the moment. I was kind of hoping for a human...but even so.. I am grateful to spend some time with her and get to know her. I'm starting to believe she is in fact the one looking out after me. At the time of filming she was sleepy after a long walk, but I'm hoping to make a another video with her. Sometimes she likes to engage in my dancing in a fun way and maybe I will be able to capture that before she returns home.
