Some days are like that! Some days are… not even close 😂 it was a super fun trip with a couple of absolute hammers and great dudes. We had a great time. Can’t wait to be the rest of the content out!
@@tjsguideservice Me either bud looks like a killer trip I could only dream about I’ve had some good days but never like that !
Your videos are getting better and better
Appreciate the feedback, Scott!
Wow great day, but its killin me what happened to the damn net??? Haha
You and me both!! I still have no idea… thought I would see it fall out in some footage but nope!
How does ff sonar work on spot lock is your transducer mounted on the electric trolling motor?

I noticed you are running your Livescope off of the front of your boat now. Curious, why you made the change?
Now that I’m not guiding, I can change single, bigger fish and it is definitely the most efficient way to do that and be hands free!
Such a great video TJ! I have learned a ton from your videos. Thank you!
Appreciate that, Chris! Thanks for taking the time to comment! 👊

What size hook on that smeltinator jig do you like with the 4 inch paddletails?
Never mind I heard you say 3/0 or 4/0
I will even go up to a 5/0 at times if I want something beefy!! 4/0 is probably the sweet spot
This is incredible. I haven't dialed in my Livescope Plus for open water fishing in forward mode. I have the ice bundle, and really only use it in winter. But I just bought a pole mount for my John boat and I'm going to try and use my Livescope in my videos going forward. You inspire me brother. Keep em coming.
I would highly recommend it!! It’s so dang fun. Best of luck man and appreciate the kind words! 👊
I use a lot of brown/purple/red baits if fish are a bit tough to bite.. more white when they are biting good.. also depends on clarity.
If ur looking for a reel id reccomend a vanford 4000 .. bigger spool doesnt weigh much more.. faster line retrieve.. a 3000 isnt much bigger then a 2000.. esp for shimano.
Appreciate the insight!
Great vid bro.
Appreciate the comment! 👊
You ever make it up to the north arm of Rainy?
I have fished about as far north as you can go and as far east as you can go! Haha I’ve covered a lot of water!
@@tjsguideservice well if you find yourself on Alexandria bay feel free to stop by! We’ve been using your advice to dial in using live scope this year! Hopefully it’ll help us win our lake tournament!
This method really shows the power of the FFS! Cool action!! Liking the Rainy Lake area!!
Absolutely! It lets us target these fish so much more efficiently! It’s a special place!
Awesome video. What are you using to have the extra rods and net behind you? Until the net disappeared. Lol
Appreciate that! It’s just a cheap 3 piece “rod holder” from Berkley maybe? It’s slick! Looks goofy, but it’s efficient! Until you lose a net 😂
Teeg , I know its been asked b 4 , the screen with the black background , I havent seen that with my LS , or to dumb to find it , Sooo how do I get it ??
Sadly, it isn’t available. This is the blue color palette and I edit out the blue because I like the look of black better!

Are you finding the big fish are off on their own vs. the smaller fish that are schooled together?
Big fish area definitely not in tight groups. Usually in the same general area of each other but not in a “school” necessarily. Tight Pods of fish are usually eater sized fish
Videos are so good , live scope is a tool , doesn't make fish bite , keep it up man love what your doing
Really appreciate a the support, Chris! 👊
Lost the dang net! Great video! The livescope footage is so cool to watch.
Still have no idea how!? 😂 I live the livescope footage as well! So fun watching these fish
Thanks for all the information TJ!
👊🎣
You bet, Evan! Appreciate you as always brother!
That sucks losing your net on a trip like that.
No kidding! Still have no idea where it went. I was able to borrow one for the competition though!
great video, I am going to try that this week. thanks for the info
You bet! Best of luck!
It looks like you were running a quick change clip on your swim baits? Not direct tie-up, is that something you can only get away with on Rainy?
Good catch! Actually, I rarely do that. That is an old clip and I was getting some underwater footage one day and was quick changing between bait. I almost always tie direct!
Thank you for the reply. Your videos are always fantastic, and we all appreciate your efforts & time!!
@@larkinadey999 appreciate the kind words! 👊

Crush city my friend! That was awesome! Successfully hand landing all those fish at the end! Well done sir!
This is easily one of my favorite bites!! Still wish I would have known what happened to my net 🤦🏻♂️ thought I would see it on footage but never did!
@@tjsguideservice super strange. Hopefully you have a backup for the rest of the trip.
@@MontanaWalleyeAngler luckily Matt at the resort let me borrow one!
Love the content
Appreciate that, Chris!
You gained my respect for not targeting the deep fish. Ffs is awesome but everyone also has to keep the fish's best interest in mind.
Agreed! I will often set my depth range at 30-35 so I’m tempted to target those deeper fish. If the fisheries are effected it will be because of anglers not the technology
Th-what is the knot called u r using?
@@BrijulClar it is called the FG knot
Thanks keep up the awesome videos-really appreciate the tips!
