Camping during heavy rains is difficult due to wind and rain. So I commend him for his hard work in the camp when it rained heavily.
Very amazing to see you rig and get setup in such poor conditions.
Most people would snap just trying to get that camping fly up let alone build a tent and get dry with all your gear.

The mistake, when heavy rain, the flysheet is high. Wind blow strongly. Suggestion lower the flysheet and make drain around edge flysheet, so the water can easy run. Becarefull of thanderstorm.and lightning.

Saya biasanya klo hujan badai & di area becek spt itu selalu siapkan 2-3 trashbag besar buat alas carier/ pakaian basah bro... jdi tdk tercampur dgn area yg kering meski di luar tenda. Oya, perlu berhati² jg dgn tiang flysheet di tempat tinggi & terbuka spt itu terhadap petir.. anyway, god job 👍

I wish I could build a small wooden hut about 3×4×2 meter with tin sheets roof and the floor is at least 60 cm. above the ground and has a small patio outside for taking heavy rain bath. I will prepare a large ice box with a lot of hotdog like kilbasa, bologna, salami, and chicken liver pate', cheddar cheese and 2dozen of caned beans and spaghetti in tomato sauce, a dozen of French baquet (2feet long) 2 pack of caned corona beer. I can live happily in that hut for 2 weeks under heavy rain storm. Oh‼️mine.. What's a dream of my wish to come true. 💕.. Sorry, I forgot to add another 2 bottles of 750ml Jack Daniels sour mesh, too. ‼️

Use a raincoat, always carry raincoat in top of bag so in case of rain you wont get wet.😅

Not sure camping on an open ridge top during a lightning storm surrounded by a bunch of metal poles is the wisest strategy , but got to hand it to you for determination . Probably would have set up in the trees myself . Great vid though .

For the life of me I will never understand getting all wet putting up a tarp and tent just to have a meal, risking getting hit by lightning you could have enjoyed it better staying at home I’m sure you like that no doubt I just don’t see the logic, more power to you🤷
this is called adventure, if you just stay at home there is no challenge in life it is the same as a pet that only eats to live, there is no challenging sensation in life.. we as humans have our own way in our lives, so don't question me what I want if you don't like it, don't watch it.

Thus a normal camping trip becomes a camping trip in the rain. This is not uncommon in a world where work often dictates time off, planning for the weather to take a turn is common enough too.
A lot of people like these videos because they can't escape to nature often enough, and rainy day camping videos also add a level of ambient relaxation to such videos.
