You know every time this appears on the iPad I must watch..the introduction really grabs you and holds your attention…or my attention I should say 🤪🥰🤩💜🌹🌹🌹
I applaud Diana for exploring new sounds and producers, but frankly I can't wait for a another bossa and standards album. I'd really like her working with Vince Mendoza and William Ross.
The guitarist is Marc Ribot. I don't know him. I got that from a NY Times review of this CD. If you like this you've gotta go to the original recording of "There Ain't No Sweet Man" which is available here on UA-cam under Bix Beiderbecke Bing Crosby. I've always seen in Diana Krall bios that her father could play virtually everything that Fazts Waller ever recorded and had dreams of asking her to give us a little stride piano some day. But this is even better! I love it!
Great, I got this álbum just some time ago and I didn't know much about how much content it had (has), I can figure it out now. Love Diana and this magnificent álbum.
elvis is one lucky guy, diana's fantastic. she can play, sing and is such a pretty woman. one thing i don't care for is the cover of the album...she's too damn good and popular to try and "sell" it with sex.
I disagree papagJazz, I saw the show last night and I loved it! I think the new music is amazing and T Bone is the man!!! I'm a big fan of jazz and Diana and I found her last show a couple years ago almost put me to sleep! This is a great new sound for her and it shows in her performance. She was much more connected to the audience and you could see she was really enjoying it! The stage looked amazing, the background videos really added to the show and some of the songs actually rocked!
There is a lot to enjoy in this album.A few of the songs seem to have been mixed with too heavy a bass lines and seem distorted. But overall it's worth it to hear this adventure by a true musical genius. I would like to know who the guitarist..is. Some of it sounds like John Pizzarelli with his eight string guitar but that's wild guess. Any ideas...any body? The guitar accompaniment is worth the price of the album alone.
I agree with popagJazz, it just feels like I'm missing something. I do love the song but seeing it live felt like she was out of sync with the song and trying to find a way to get it together. It's not the era it's from at all but almost as if she was there but not there when they did the recording and creation. She's not synced with it at all just being the voice that carries a note. :/

the sound of her laughing is as sweet as any song
Diana is really a professional musician. I love it so much.
You are beautiful Diana
Amazing, and what a great way to pay homage to the past yet bring it forward too. It was a beautiful show.
You sang at our wedding on a privately rented Cozumel Beach at Sundown. We wouldn't have had any other artist there but you!
Diana Krall is so amazing-:) real good admirer of her.
When you laugh it makes me 😁😁😁
Ya the guitar is so nice with her voice
Beautiful voice to.
Diana is top shelf all the way.

My gosh, I've always dreamt of her singing at my wedding. What lucky guy you were! I'm sure she was amazing :)
wonderful talent !!!!
Diana is raiding Elvis' closet. Love it. Oh and all the talk about the music is good too.
you rock diane, your playing and singing is awesome
Can't wait ot hear this album. This is my favorite era of music. Can you imagine the stage show? Sign me up.
Marc Ribot was one of the key ingredients of Tom Waits' remarkable mid-80's sound. To describe him as cutting edge alt-jazz wouldn't do him justice.

please forgive my vid
Costello ruining her jazz career, swaying her to recorded commercial pop songs I knew she was in trouble once he showed up on the scene.
