Glad you enjoyed it. I really enjoyed this weekend running this mainly due to the fact I didn't have the massive amounts of oversteer I had last time I took it out.

Another nice run ... finishing up with a solid 11 lapper (even with all the clambering out of the way for the faster racers)! Your car was looking pretty good out there, a little slick (I could see the rain dripping off the eves in front of you). I find 4wd easier to run in slick conditions because you can get the front wheels to claw your way out of slippery areas. Your 2wd lost it a few times in some places where your 4wd could just keep a little more power on. They are different beasts to run, especially in slick conditions. In dryer conditions they can be fairly close in handling. You want something vastly different try Stadium Truck (one of the truck classes we run here), which is basically 2wd with bigger wheels, longer arms, and a slightly bigger body. They are similar to 2wd in handling, but since they're wider you run different lines, where as the 4wd can run similar lines to the 2wd (basically clipping the inside of the corners about the same). My son races all 3 classes, and struggles with the truck because he clips the corners too much (because it's width is larger), though there are 3 or 4 other racers of the same skill racing in the same classes and finishing very close to each of them.
All that said, how'd you do? You did fine! The only unfortunate thing was the 2 behind you couldn't get to grips with their buggies so dropped back a ways, and the one ahead of you was ahead by 3 or 4 corners. My love of this sport is finding someone that's the same skill and running close with them, either breathing down their neck or having them pushing your limits to stay ahead of them, within a corner of each other so that one mistake and you trade spots ... so keep it clean! Even more fun if you can swap positions once in a while, keeping each other honest ... then the race becomes a true race and the fun escalates exponentially!
Nice runs, thanks for sharing Paul!

I did think about a truggy last year but we hardly have any races that support it which is a shame. Yerhh 4wd in slippery conditions is a hell of a lot of fun. I had fusions on the front the first time I ran this and they give me way too much oversteer. This run was with Mezzo's on the front with the first two rows of spikes cut off. I am not running 4wd this Sunday but the Sunday after I should be back at Bury and will get to run it then. Yerhhh I know what you mean about cat and mouse games when racing. I love it when it is like that.

Nice run, i struggled with that table top last year, but hopefully i’ll be back. If i dip my toe into the modern cars again it will be 4wd. Like you say, its so much fun 👍

Yerhh 4wd gives me the same buzz as bashing 4wd's. Its mad just how quick the top drivers are though.

@@FullOnRC yeah, the speed they can carry in corners aswell 😮 might have to do some saving up 😁

Awesome racing and great commentary again! I always hear "2WD takes more skill" but nah, like you said it's a different beast. Definitely preferable in these conditions, too.

The thing is with 4wd its constantly fighting itself. I don't know which takes more skill, but imo the 4wd feels harder lol.

@FullOnRC yep, I'd say they both have their own pros and cons, but personally I prefer 4wd all day 👍
