DRT 2014 New Flyer XD40

Ride aboard 8592, a 2014 New Flyer XD40 operated by Durham Region Transit on the 216 route. This unit and units 8590 and 8591 were formerly operated by Barrie Transit. In early 2024, Barrie and Durham Region agreed to trade buses when both agencies were in dire need of equipment. DRT would receive three of Barrie Transit's New Flyer Xcelsior buses (1401-1403), and Barrie Transit would receive three of DRT's Arboc cutaway fleet (5103-5105).
