Fun fact: Searchloght doesn’t have a Z classification because it’s a actual fish, just evolved to fit the habitat of the Let Vand zone

Searchlights, or the “Vultus Limunaria”, are a species of echinoderms that have adapted to the Let-Vand Zone’s environment. As such, they aren’t given a Z-Classification.
Their way of hunting is by searching for prey, with their eyes making a light. If anything gets in the light, a “harpoon” will exit its mouth at a great speed, hook the prey it spotted, and reel it in to eat. Despite damage being done if you look closely when dying to it, you can’t escape it. It does damage because a harpoon going through your body is harmful.
An incident occurred where a searchlight nearly entered the Lunar Grav Testing Track when the bulkhead wasn’t opened. The test track is most presumably used to test devices that allow anti-gravity in a certain radius. It succeeded, based on gameplay. However, before the Searchlight could enter the testing track fully, the bulkhead was closed, and personnel are to make sure the bulkhead is closed at all times.
How the Searchlight is in the facility, it’s either the bulkhead being opened during the lockdown by Sebastian, or nobody made sure the bulkhead was closed because the lockdown happened. And due to it being the Lunar Grabity Testing Track, the water it swims in stays near the ceiling. Either way, the Searchlight gets in, and when it spots a dead corpse, does its hunting technique explained earlier. Thinking more prey is around, it lingers in the area.
The ending encounter for the Searchlights is going underwater to repair wires. During this, a Searchlight hunts, with the working theory/canon fact being that it thought Lucy, A Trenchbleeder/a mobile oil rig robot, was a bigger Searchlight that found food. As such, it entered the area to eat also. As more wires are repaired, more Searchlights enter the area, due to the Vultus Luninaria being a species and not an anomalous creature. When all wires are fixed, and the ERS is activated, a cannon fires at something(not a Searchlight to be specific), and the EXR-P goes back through the cave to get to the submarine dock to escape. However, at the opening they went through to get to the EXS wires, a Searchlight gets near, and STAYS near, knowing the EXR-P, and prey in specific, are gonna try to hide in there and pass by.(not confirmed)
Once the EXR-P passes by and exits the cave, a Searchlight/the same Searchlight as before tries to cut them off, but gets crushed by Trenchbleeder Lucy.
Once inside the Hadal Blacksite again, the EXR-P is instructed to go to the submarine dock, enter the submarine, and return home, and to be pardoned now that they’ve retrieved the crystal they were assigned to collect, and any loose assets they came across.

I did t know the grand encounter was inside the facility as like a aquarium of sorts, that’s cool
if you look up and shine a light, you can see the water. i figured that out when i realized that i thought it was weird that this deep sea monster looked like it was flying in the air.
@@thefourthdymensionmusic Yeah. Its actually the Lunar Grav testing track menioned in the documents of searchlights, which is why the water floats. And the gate is left open, like it was in the file, but this time, the search light managed to get in.

that room is the lunar gravity test track at blacksite so the searchlight just swam inside because the bulkheads are left open due to the lockdown

For some reason if Pandemonium spawn and it sees you even out of bounds it still trying to catch you even out of bounds by clipping and flying up to you, it seems that when it spots you it immediately goes to your location even flying out of bounds and flying toward you
just turn up the flying speed
Sounds similar to how A-60 works in the original Rooms, I'll try that out

These are my fav presure creatures for a very good reason
This thing really reminds me of Ocean Phantom from "The Future Is Wild" documentary where both creatures have similar body structures and have same hunting tendrils dangling beneath the creature.
Ocean Phantom have bell-shape mouth that stretch down to search and catch prey, Searchlight have dangling harpoon that acts the same way. Different is that Searchlight is likely a giant starfish while Ocean Phantom is descendent of Man o War
i never get how the searchlight is able to fly in its grand encounter.
There's water, yes, but how does the water stay up? Is it just floating? If it's being contained by some sort of wall, then how does the Searchlight manage to harpoon players?

To be fair, the ceiling is very dark, and you got more important things to look up for (heh) than silly vault doors. Like generators, or THE GIANT -FISH- SEA CUCUMBER ON THE CEILING, or said creature’s search lights of doom.

I did this my self. Pandemonium spawned in. Saw me. I tried to fly away but buddy was faster. But while doing this i found out entity facts. Like the secret entity "Mirage"

how did it get in the room in the first place
Apparently through a vault door that connects outside, according to it’s file, like the one it exits on in this video (except you know, animated). It got inside the facility once like this, from then on they leave the vault door closed, but someone forgot to double check before evacuating the blacksite (or Sebastian left it open on purpose).
It’s nice to see the “boss fight” is just a very bad coincidence, instead of an intelligent hunter it’s just an animal passing by, looking for food.

Yes, a random entity will run across the bridge on the side. (Anglers, pandemonium, and wall dwellers are the only ones I know of)
And pandemonium will target you and ruin your run by going across the void, to your bridge
so that's what it was, I thought of some secret character or smth

There are actually a water in the roof.If you pay attention closely to the roof,there are actually water... and also sea mine.In the Vultus Lumina document,Urbanshade are doing gravity experiment to make any particel stick to the roof,and the experiment succesfull.But,some mfs forget to close the big door and make Vultus Lumina enter the room.
I used this method weeks ago, and I found alot of stuff that you normaly cant do like in the 2 boss fights you can noclip and turn on the generators and go into the next room
