The young prince and princess are very funny they make the movie interesting and enjoyable to watch.
Basic English Summary:
1. Tuoba Yu suggested the king to confine Minde (off-screen) with the excuse that he is the Prince of another kingdom and must be closely watched. This way, Minde cannot help Tuoba Jun in the investigation. Minde visits princess, but she is angry since she knows that they were hiding the investigation from her to prevent her from worrying. She demands him to spill - and he does. Then they vow to stay together.
2. Tuoba Yu also sent people to search for Juntao (who is still a criminal under the eyes of the king). This prevents her from joining the investigation.
3. Changle is angry that she is under house arrest, but states that she cannot do anything about it. Hongluo says that Changle should just join Tuoba Yu. Since she wants revenge for the general, she knocks out the servants and finds Tuoba Yu.
4. Weiyoung and Tuoba Jun search for evidence - Tuoba Jun states that if evidence is not found, he will send her away (to avoid the death penalty) - she refuses. Weiyoung solves the puzzle with the jade key and they find evidence proving the innocence of the previous crown prince and incriminating Tuoba Yu.
5. They present evidence to the king. The king is furious (as he ended up indirectly causing the death of his favorite son (Jun's dad) though this misunderstanding). He calls for the immediate capture death of Tuoba Yu, but Weiyoung advises against it, since Tuoba Yu will then rebel with all his forces.
6. Tuoba Jun is tasked with capturing Tuoba Yu discreetly. King's eunuch acts pretty suspiciously - disappearing and appearing randomly where he should not be - Tuoba Jun has him followed. Tuoba Yu will enter court/palace the next day, and they plan to capture him.
7. The king is regretting his actions. He was sorry for killing his own son after getting "evidence" that the son was conspiring against him and not trusting his own son's disposition. Weiyoung manages to reassure the king and make him feel better about himself. The king then somewhat apologizes to Weiyoung for wronging her so many times, and finally understands that she is not the cause of the conflict between the princes (at least for the most part).
8. Eunuch knows that he was being followed (cause it was really obvious XD) - he attempts to steal the evidence, but is caught by Tuoba Jun.
9. Since Tuoba Yu has the help of Hongluo, he uses a scapegoat to stage a little play. Hongluo had learned about the ambush ahead of time and passed the information on the Tuoba Jun.
10. Eunuch killed king on behalf of Tuoba Yu - Tuoba Yu didn't mean for that to happen (at least not this early). In his dying moments, the king passes the throne onto Tuoba Jun. He regrets not believing Weiyoung and Tuoba Jun earlier and dies.
11. Tuoba Yu comes in with his troops and kills all other witnesses except Weiyoung. He tells the servants to treat her with care and vows to prove himself as an able king.
12. Princess feels that something is off. The rebels come in to capture/kill Minde. The princess in attempt to save him hits her head. Minde is ordered to take the Princess and leave.
13. Changle reveals herself to be the one behind everything - betraying Tuoba Jun and causing the current situation. They use Tuoba Jun to threaten Weiyoung. Weiyoung cannot do anything to retaliate (she does slap Tuoba Yu though, so good job for that...).

我只能说 易容术这么好用的话 第一集一开始就让人易容成白芷 拓跋余易容成拓跋浚杀了皇上就可以结局了
南安王本来就没想杀皇上 而且易容术的技术由叱云家提供 当时叱云家更偏向与拓跋浚 怎么会帮南安王
应该说第一集就让叱云南易容成拖把鱼，然后把皇上杀了，之后拖把君上位之后，就跟着之前的套路让长乐易容未央然后就blabla bla可以直接省掉40多集
这样子就不好看了 很快就结局了
起初只是无聊随便点一集进去看看 没想到一看就看了50多集了 明天就大结局了还真有点不舍。。。

Obviously, since there was no direct connection, that would not have been possible at the time. However, neither is it possible to make someone appear to be someone considerably different with just a paper thin thickness of skin.
Of course all the action in the drama is impossible. Since no one can fly or leap over on a tall building. And no young women could defeat 4 trained guards and high enough to raise he center of gravity 4 feet to avoid a sword.
However, if you ignore all that nonsense, the acting is very good and the basic story is good.
