Matt you are the smartest mind in fitness and strength in the world. You have tested this stuff on yourself in competition and have won. Not only that you are educated and have sustained no real injuries in a long career. You have my utmost respect you should have a million plus followers not some 20 year old kid claiming to be a guru.

The older I get. The more I look forward to my WARM UPS. It’s everything. The visualization. The blood flow. The mini pump. Sets the tone for the whole lift.!!! 💪🇺🇸

The Wenning Warmup should be standardized into weight training. Very advanced. Initiating such a system into your training greatly increases everything from strength to mind muscle connection to longevity to recovery. Keep up the hard work and research.

Working on it!!! Thing that helps me is experimenting on 300 firemen and 100 clients - many the same ones for years - top that off by pushing my own limits and schooling up to a masters degree. You would think people would listen 🤣🤣

The Wenning warm ups are a game changer for me. It’s hitting all the weak spots for bench, deadlifts & squats and making the main lifts stronger and better form. Working with Coach Russell and getting great results. Thanks!

I’m on board with all of the science and logically, it makes sense. You explained it well. My only hesitation is the time involved. I have about an hour to train in the morning.

As a wider bench presser i do a superset for the shoulder one arm pull exersize for the back and the last warmup variation would be a face pull i would always use this warmup but every three weeks i would change the angle like face pull from a low position face pull from a midd position and face pull from a high position i would change the angle ince every three weeks I would also train my bench with a different grip every week week one pinkies on the ring week two ringvinger on the ring and weeks three middelvinger on the ring on my heaviest day i use a wider grip but because i dont use this grip every week i dont have any issues with my shoulder if you wanna be strong you must also train smart

Wenning Warm ups add a different feel and give a different spin every time, I’ve been abiding by this concept for probably about 7 months or so and just grew more in the direction of thinking and training how he recommends. I now search for things I suck at and try to work on them, and I focus on the 3 different energy systems as well, which I read about in the tactical training manual. Thanks Matt.

Teaching Wenning Warm Ups to my high school athletes. They do more volume in their warm up than most of the other athletes do in their entire workout. And they’re seeing improvement in a wider range of muscles.

Would it be expected that one might perform more poorly than normal at the primary lift due to these warmups when they first implement them…and then perform better and better as it becomes a learned part of every workout for the brain and body?

Hey Matt, in this video claim many big things and also say that this is the best science-based warm-up. However, you do not show any studies or results of anything that you did and solely rely on the "experience" you have and what "you have seen". Since you only have observed this, I do no see how you can make the claim that this is science based, since a lot of sports science does not seem to support your claims. You could still be right of course, but I would highly suggest that you get your findings examined in a study environment going against other types of warm ups/training styles. Otherwise this is not a strong foundation that your claims are built on.

@@WenningStrength first of all thank you for your answer, but as long as you don't back up your claims it is more than fair to call you a snake oil salesman. And don't call people idiots especially when you assume things about them, that's just shitty.
