Matt you are the smartest mind in fitness and strength in the world. You have tested this stuff on yourself in competition and have won. Not only that you are educated and have sustained no real injuries in a long career. You have my utmost respect you should have a million plus followers not some 20 year old kid claiming to be a guru.
The older I get. The more I look forward to my WARM UPS. It’s everything. The visualization. The blood flow. The mini pump. Sets the tone for the whole lift.!!! 💪🇺🇸
I'll be honest I think wenning warm ups prevent injuries, when I started skipping this stuff. I fucked myself up going in to cold. Great content man! You're an inspiration
Seriously brotha, I'm sure you're busy as hell. Just hope you really do know that your knowledge and content has inspired and educated guys and girls like me across the world. Be very proud of yourself bro. Have a great holiday!
The Wenning Warmup should be standardized into weight training. Very advanced. Initiating such a system into your training greatly increases everything from strength to mind muscle connection to longevity to recovery. Keep up the hard work and research.
Working on it!!! Thing that helps me is experimenting on 300 firemen and 100 clients - many the same ones for years - top that off by pushing my own limits and schooling up to a masters degree. You would think people would listen 🤣🤣
Watching films like this makes me look forward to the morning. The experience Matt brings is unique, and the application of science from his education is such a great mix. Awesome channel.
The Wenning warm ups are a game changer for me. It’s hitting all the weak spots for bench, deadlifts & squats and making the main lifts stronger and better form. Working with Coach Russell and getting great results. Thanks!
I’m on board with all of the science and logically, it makes sense. You explained it well. My only hesitation is the time involved. I have about an hour to train in the morning.
As a wider bench presser i do a superset for the shoulder one arm pull exersize for the back and the last warmup variation would be a face pull i would always use this warmup but every three weeks i would change the angle like face pull from a low position face pull from a midd position and face pull from a high position i would change the angle ince every three weeks I would also train my bench with a different grip every week week one pinkies on the ring week two ringvinger on the ring and weeks three middelvinger on the ring on my heaviest day i use a wider grip but because i dont use this grip every week i dont have any issues with my shoulder if you wanna be strong you must also train smart
Wenning Warm ups add a different feel and give a different spin every time, I’ve been abiding by this concept for probably about 7 months or so and just grew more in the direction of thinking and training how he recommends. I now search for things I suck at and try to work on them, and I focus on the 3 different energy systems as well, which I read about in the tactical training manual. Thanks Matt.
Teaching Wenning Warm Ups to my high school athletes. They do more volume in their warm up than most of the other athletes do in their entire workout. And they’re seeing improvement in a wider range of muscles.
Been using the methodology for my daughters and seeing positive results... I was trained "old school" of just using the Big 3 to get better. Seems they're improving In strength/endurance MUCH faster than I did at their ages. .... appreciate you sharing your time and knowledge, Matt.... signed up for Patreon today... had to finish a project and get wife's approval 🤣🤦🏾♂️🤷🏿♂️🤣💪🏽
I’m on week 3 of the Wenning tactical program and the Wenning warm ups are a smoker! It definitely gets you primed for the main lifts. Can’t recommend them enough
Great information as usual! Your channel is the most informative and educational channel out there in the fitness industry. Listening to you has helped me tremendously!!
I still don't know where I stand on this right now. I have thrown them in multiple times. I am not sure if I like doing this much volume before my main work. I still need to test them on myself more before I make up my mind.
I started doing these on arm day, an I no longer get cramps in my biceps. I used to get debilitating cramps but they have stopped an also my tendonitis in my elbows went away
Would it be expected that one might perform more poorly than normal at the primary lift due to these warmups when they first implement them…and then perform better and better as it becomes a learned part of every workout for the brain and body?
Matt do you recommend this to people who aren't strong that can only Bench 200 and Squat/Deadlift under 350? And if so would you have them do it any differently?
Hey Matt, in this video claim many big things and also say that this is the best science-based warm-up. However, you do not show any studies or results of anything that you did and solely rely on the "experience" you have and what "you have seen". Since you only have observed this, I do no see how you can make the claim that this is science based, since a lot of sports science does not seem to support your claims. You could still be right of course, but I would highly suggest that you get your findings examined in a study environment going against other types of warm ups/training styles. Otherwise this is not a strong foundation that your claims are built on.
I have the research - it will Be in my book - if you think I’m giving away all my hard earned time and effort in a free UA-cam video - well you sir are an idiot
@@WenningStrength first of all thank you for your answer, but as long as you don't back up your claims it is more than fair to call you a snake oil salesman. And don't call people idiots especially when you assume things about them, that's just shitty.

Hi Matt, do you do a general aerobic warm-up before these or go straight in? Where do you stretch? Before or after?
Come ask on my patreon brother

Great

That motor pattern stuff should be obvious but no1 thought it thru so completely. Hail da King. Awesome
We've got to take the "warm" part of "warm up" more literally
Do you know where the research is that shows heating the nervous system increases conductivity? I think it's his proprietary stuff.
Saw paper on it in 2012 in Australia w rugby
How long should this heating volume be maintained to obtain benefits? thank you so much

So heat fuses the muscle satellites?
Didn’t say that anywhere
U said the more reps equals hypertrophy... so more friction/ heat build up causes the muscle satellites to fuse right
How much rest is used after the wenning warmup before the main lift.
Come on patreon brother glad to help

How close/far from failure should you go during each set of the warm-ups? Either in percent or reps in reserve (don't know if that's a good metric).

How would you incorporate this into a day where you squat and bench? Just do a 4x25 for each muscle group?

Also I should add is the 25x4 based on a % of your 1RM
